  1. loose NEGATIVE battery post
  2. boring the TB will give you more HP higher in the rev range, not the other way around, also 4.10 gives more torque at the line but once you get to 4th gear it starts to feel slugish, and shifting to 5th doesnt help either
  3. if you come across one, get it, it´ll be a nice piece of museum
  4. i don't get why autozone even exists, 90% of their products are just crap
  5. if emissions are not a problem just delete it if it wasnt a crime i would suggest putting a cat only to pass the test and then replace it with a straight pipe...
  6. is too large
  7. only the 4 cylinder dakotas had the AX15, and all were 4x2, you still need the tranfer case AND the bellhousing for the 4.0 so whats the point? the only good thing that may come out of going that route is that the 2.5l is very underpowered So the ax15 is likely to be in good shape
  8. a TF999 or TF 909 are your only choices an AW4 out of a 2.5l will require a torque converter out of an isuzu and I'm not sure if its plug and play a 700R4 out of a blazer may be another option or a TH350 with the 60 deg bolt pattern, a full size 4L60 would be to heavy for the small 2.8 to handle go for a full engine+trans swap... either a 4.0+aw4 or a 2.5+aw4, or if you really want to stay GM get the entire drivetrain out of an old camaro
  9. and people keep messing with the IAC...
  10. mine ran on a fuel cell for a while, when i was converting it to LPG... well it was a plastic bottle... a fuel cell usually don't hold much fuel, in a jeep it means you will not get far without refueling over and over, i would use a couple of jerry cans behind the seats but the smell would be excruciating
  11. 50 mA - 80 mA is the acceptable draw mine draws like 10 mA or less, i have striped it of a lot of electric stuff
  12. this but IF it´s doing the shifts then the throttle body cable and/or TPS are out of adjusment, a faulty speed sensor will make the transmission not shift at all
  13. i have doing the exact opposite, running on LPG with the renix controlling the spark, and yes, batch mode in the 4.0 is like running a TBI system, the worse it can happen is that different cylinders get a slighty different amount of gasoline, at high rpm the system goes in batch mode anyway
  14. of course you can as long as you put the sensors at the right places i don't know why you want to put yourself through this, you love that system that much?
  15. we probably should start putting coolers to manuals transmisions too.. and differentials can get hot under load...
  16. unless you live in alaska or the south pole, remove the line to the radiator, use only a good cooler
  17. i would put it right in front of the stream of the incoming air, in front of the throttle
  18. i would rather make knives with them
  19. it must be done with a warm engine, but in any case, the engine needs rebuild
  20. 86 didnt get the 4.0 yet...
  21. open circuit means it s dead
  22. oh yeah, i forgot about cooling
  23. most peopel seem to forget that a bad GROUND will make the engine run like trash or not at all NEVER underestimate ground
