Amazon is the place that I was looking initially, and when you go digging there were some for nearly $800, but it was the $700 one that "fit" the Bluebird, the other in the $100 range had been out of stock, but now there seem to be a few. Still have to wait till next month to order it. I just don't want to get a Cat up here in MN, because there are people literally cutting them from cars/trucks while in parking lots. Had someone at work, go home, shower, get changed for a date, and his converter had been cut from his car, brand new Cat. Apparently they are going for nearly $2,600 on some market, and the crumby looking ones for about $1,000. Just making sure I'm not buying something I absolutely do not need.

This right here sir, is a beautiful piece of work, and thank you. I was making sure it can be done, and I wouldn't need the damned cat at all.

Thank you all for the tips, and if I wanted to spend $700 on a converter these would be great. But the state that I am in and the state I want to move to do not require emission tests. Has anyone been able to use the Walker Exhaust System doing a "Cat-Delete"?

Good Morning folks! so an interesting thing happened today. I mean I knew it was rusting, and that there was a crack in the tail in of the muffler itself, and even saw that it had sheared from the tail pipe itself, to which I used some baling wire to keep it from dangling on the back end. These horrible @$$ roads up here in Minnesoduh are just tearing the Bluebird apart. anyway so here I was driving to work hit one of the "repairs" for the road, and the front end of the muffler "pops" off and starts dragging. Of course it's 06:30 in the morning and on a fairly high traffic road and a bear to pull over. Get pulled off the side of the road and take a peak underneath, and lo and behold there the muffler is dangling and dragging on the floor by the baling wire. Undo the baling wire and place everything in the back of the truck. My question is this, of course after a long story and tale of woe, what us the recommended exhaust system to place back on her?

Holy smokes, that is a lot more detail than I have ever been able to pull up on Bluebird! Thank you so much, this should help in the search for newer replacements or even upgrades.

I am looking to update transmission and axles and diffs over time of course as I am just a regular joe schmoe trying to get by in a big @$$ city with a lot of stop and go traffic and always either trying to keep up with traffic or even do a push to get past some numbskull doing something stupid (like crossing several lanes of traffic to get to the exit they were just about to miss. Correction, the product my friend was talking about NMF (No more Friction) additive.

Stutter/Sputter/Uphill-lane change Power Loss

Unfortunately that is what they told me, and no longer have the invoices unfortunately. Later on found out that they were using the same fuel pump and not changing out the assembly, took it to Midas a year or so later and they just replaced the whole assembly and everything worked fine afterward. -
VIN Number as follows: 1J7FJ26L8KL459084

Buddy of mine has been doing a lot of research and as have I and will be starting to do my own work on the "Bluebird" and looking to get some information on wither I should go with certain fluids or not. Specifically something call NFM (No Friction Modifier) for Gears, Oils, and the like. Been looking specifically at the MPTindustires Website and looking over some data sheets and wanted some more concise data from any possible users. Once I get to a point to be able to take everything apart and clean it all out and then back together again would these products be a good idea to put inside the Factory Transmission, rear axle, and diffs?

1989, Jeep, Comanche (Base I believe). Engine / Trans / Transfercase / Front axle / Rear axle / Wheelbase: No Clue Unfortunately but I do know that I have been buying parts for the 1989 Jeep Comanche with O' Reilly's and Rock Auto and so far everything has fit so: Inline 6 Cylinder 4.0L, believe original Manual Transmission, no clue on everything else. Build date: (its on the driverside door sticker, in the form of month and year): So this is all been rubbed off over the years. Current Location: Minnesota Status: Is it still on the road: It is on the road, currently my daily driver. Notes: Bought from a Used care dealer in Montrose, CO back in 2013, and have had it ever since, still figuring out what all they did to it, but do know that there is a body/lift kit on it by 3" and started doing upgraded parts when something breaks down on it. Apparently they had forgotten the secondary Sensor along the fuel line, I believe is they had said. Cost me nearly 2,000 in repairs. Learned that I will never do that again. -

Sorry folks for not responding. I did figure out what the problem was, and had them fix it like they should have done in the first place without an extra charges. Also now days I have been able to do my work instead of relying on overpriced Mechanics here in Minneapolis.
