Sometimes it can be the throttle plate coming loose or crud buildup in the bore of the throttle body.

Use the HO throttlebody and mount the Renix TPS on it

You can get an adapter to run the Chev belled trans on the Jeep for @$100 but you may need something special to hook up the 3500 to the Jeep flywheel (you can drill a CPS hole easy enough in the Chev bell)

On the 87 to early '89s, there is a big electrical connector above the brake booster that gets corroded and messes up the signals to the computer (you can even get high revs on restart from it)

Late '86 is when the large journal 2.8L came out. It's also internally balanced, so looking at the harmonic balancer (it'll be smooth all around and not have a lump on one side) should tell you.

Possible, but other things may be affecting it. Using a fuel pressure gauge will tell you if that's what's happening. Could be something stuck in the regulator or clogged filter or clogged screen in the tank. A can of BG's 44K will usually clear up most of those symptoms, at least temporarily.

silglyde works for installing those injectors. Regular grease eats up the seals!

6 bolt was swapped in from something else

I added spacers behind my lower control arms (where it meets the floor) to push the arms forward and straighten out my pinion angle. Vibes went away at the same time.

The AX-15 and BA 10/5 share clutches, but the pilot bearing is different. Slave should interchange (only thing I found different when I compared the 2 kits)

He would've got into a LOT more trouble if he had pissed on the Mexican flag.
