  1. I want a 4.0 long bed, as close to stock as possible 2x4 or 4x4. prefer ax15 but aw4 ok too. I don't expect perfection, but no projects or rot boxes. send me a message here or email me at a1awind@yahoo.com
  2. am i gonna wanna be you when we see the rest of the truck?.....i think i am gonna wanna be youwhen we see the rest of the pics!
  3. if its a saftey they legally do have to preform the work. back in 05 when i worked at All American ford in tallahassee we had a beat-to-hell 89 ford probe come in for a saftey recall on the automatic seatbelts. trust me... it was the least of this cars problems (the blow-by on the 3.0 under the hood was so bad that if you removed the oil cap the car stalled).... but we did the work.
  4. I wish I could use the shifters out of the junked fx4. Its a manual and if you are familiar with what the fx4 specific shifter looked like...it would look pretty cool
  5. i went ahead and pulled the trigger. i had my buddy take the 31's off. its a shame....they had nice tread on the outer tread but the middle was smooth as a babys @$$. but they are 15x7 so i guess my tires will fit for now.... once i go 4x4 ill get some big meats.
  6. How did someone blow a crd? The only thing I ever hear is the timing belt snaping...but from what ive read they are designed to take out the rockers rather than bend the valves.
  7. yeah, that is why the back is still up on the jack in the pic. it fits in the front...but just so. the rear just didnt fit over the dust cover....a little light grinding at the littlr lip on the inside of the hole and it will fit... i was considering having a machine shop do this. but $125 for all 4 (friend price) i think its a deal.
  8. yea ? nay? they are ranger fx4 level II alcoas. they kinda fit (there is a lip where the hub comes through that needs ground down.)
  9. Ok....so a buddy of mine suggested that I drop in a 4.0 ho...and instead of rewiring the whole truck, use a megasquirt stand alone computer to run the engine as a stand alone...possible,?
  10. Ok...good to know. Thanks. I may change it over...its annoying having all that light and no turn signal
  11. apart from my right "in dash indicator" not working(....i think i need a bulb....but i am gonna wait and do a full led conversion ) i noticed that i have 1 turn signal on each side....below the headlight. I distinctly remember my 93 cherokee having the side marker lights that doubled as turn signals too (they would flash in sync with the one under the headlight in the day, and alternate at night) when did jeep start making the side marker a turn signal rather than just a parking light....or do i have a problem?
  12. Yes, as a matter of fact, you can lol. http://www.fourwheeler.com/how-to/engine/154-0911-505-performance-turbo-system-for-jeep-4-cylinder/ it looks as if they only have kits for mopar fuel injection ones
  13. Well as clean as it is ...I don't plan on driving her in the winter...so I guess I can get a renix donor and take the winter to do it..... but can you turbo a renix 2.5?
  14. Ok...to quash the confusion here... I have an 87 2wd 2.5 4cyl. I want more power and eventually 4wd. I love the 4.0 and have owned many a jeep with it....except a comanche! (The 4.0 powered ones that pop up for sale on craigslist around here are usually not in very good shape at all or are modded to hell and back...and not in a nice kinda way.) So I bought this 4 cyl one because its so clean and I figured an angine swap would be a cake walk.....oops!. I have a tiny little garage with not enough room to swap an engine if it takes more than a sunny weekend.
