  1. his D16 looks to be stock other then the intake so i would think somethings wrong if you didnt embaress him even 1/4mile. d16 honda in stock form is a joke
  2. Its on my to do list
  3. 2.5L didnt qualify which means all but 47 were 4.0L trucks :(
  4. The YJ 231 is clocked slightly different, but not "wrong." My '88 MJ Chief with AX-15 and 231 came to me equipped with a YJ tranny and transfer case. The doofus left theYJ transfer case shifter and butchered the floor to make it work, but that was just cutting a hole for the lever. Doesn't appear that any "massaging" of the tranny tunnel was needed to allow for the clocking. It might vary slightly by vehicle but the worse case would be a couple of taps with a hammer. yup, the t-case will be rotated up a bit. I've got a TJ ax-15 and 231 in my 88 and the clearance is tight, but no contact yet. :D I did nip off a small tab of aluminum just in case. good to know. my brother is giving me the entire drivetrain from his 95 YJ 2.5L,so ive been kinda curious about it.
  5. the Ford injectors are 5.0L/4.6L bosch yellow top injectors. they are basically the bosch equivalent of your stock injectors. they are supposed to be more reliable then the siemens/deka injectors and have a better nozzle design. they also tend to be cheaper then the OEM injectors but as far as power or fuel mileage improvements,i doubt you will notice any difference over a properly functioning OEM injector.
  6. I don't know this for sure but i was told the YJ ax5&231 is supposed to be clocked wrong and won't go into an MJ/XJ without notching the floorboard.
  7. Ive got 33X12.50s with a 5 inch lift and i had to do some minor trimming, but that was mostly due to my control arms being too short.
  8. just copy and paste the image code from photobucket
  9. there is a good write up on headliners in the DIY section viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15146 This cost me less then $50 and didnt take long to do

the tred on the executioners is crazy  My father runs the kenda bear claws on his 350 big bear,he uses the quad for search and rescue and seems to really like the bear claws.
  11. I had no trimming with stock bump stops and no rubbing even when bouncing around offroad. after i added the winch bumper i did experience occasional slight rubbing on the flairs as you said at the back of the wheel wells. Here is my 2.5L MJ bone stock with 31X10.50X15s on it. I don't know that it would rock crawl like that but i took it on a few trails and had no rubbing issues.
  12. my old 31X10.50's rubbed worse on stock wheels with no lift then they did on aftermarket wheels with a wider offset. When i bought my truck one aftermarket wheel up front was missing and had been replaced with a stock one,the rubbing on the control arm was far worse then anything i experienced on the side with the aftermarket wheel,i replaced the stock wheel and it quit rubbing I think the lighter 2.5L makes the front sit a little higher then a 4.0L truck so the tires clear better, I didnt have any rubbing till i added a heavy winch bumper and even then it was very little. now my 4.0L XJ was pretty much undriveable with 31X10.50s/wide offset wheels and no lift.
  13. Its needed new tires for a long time,I was gonna get them a few months ago but the XJ needed tires worse and the MJ got bumped. Now that the weather is changing i decided it had to happen,i didnt want to have to drive another winter on the old tires. One more thing i can scratch off the MJ to do list
  14. Mine is a daily driver. I have a 5" lift and SOA,it drives fine on and off road. I also have 3.55 gears with 33X12.50's but i have a 2.5L/AX4,Its not a rocket ship but its not completely gutless either so you should be fine with 3.55s and a 4.0L
  15. I like the Scooby Doo fog effect. :clapping: Nice ties, those extra few inches sure fill in the fenders real nice. It was pretty crappy out when i snapped the pic but i wanted to post some pics. the 3rd pic i added the next day,it was a little nicer out. Yes they filled it up good, almost too good.I have to get rid of the stock control arms ASAP and get my axle back out where it goes They were rubbing pretty bad so i had to do some trimming to get by till i can fix the arm issue. Thanks
  16. I saw this on craigslist a couple weeks ago but he wanted around $2500 for it.
  17. My XJ had a new aftermarket bottle on it when i bought it. the cap never fit correctly and it would overheat at idle, i replaced the bottle with an OEM and it went away.
  18. Today i finally got new tires. I got 33X12.5X15 Toyo Open Country MTs. Image Not Found Image Not Found between the weather here and my cell phone the pics suck but i had to post them anyway
  19. my moms husband has a tec22, I tried to talk him out of it but hes not ready to part with it. they are a cool looking gun and being a .22 ammo is cheap
  20. Guns 1 12GA pump 1 VP70Z 9MM semi auto 1 .380 auto 1 .22 take down rifle 2 hunting air rifles (not toys i have those too.) 1 with halogen spot light and laser sights Bows 2 martin compound bows 1 Bear compound bow 1 golden eagle compound recurve
  21. don't know about more fun. not many cooler sounds then a pump cycling and my mossburg holds 6 rounds which is fun X6
  22. Well i finally did one of the best mods a jeep owner can do. I got a house with a garage the house is nice too but the garage is whats important  now i can work on the MJ without having to schedule it at work.
  23. I had 31s with stock suspension and it didnt rub very bad but i have the 2.5L so alot less weight up front. my XJ has 31s on it. I was in the same boat as you, so temporarally i did 2" spacers in the front and minor trimming. glancing at it you can't really tell its been trimmed, the 31s fit great even with my very wide offset wheels. It flexes pretty good like that too
  24. if your going cheap you could probably get away with 2" coil spacers to get you by till you can do it all. how big are your tires?
  25. at 3" you will probably want a track bar and maybe longer shocks. what are you doing in the rear?
