I'm sure it will bolt on the problem is gonna be routing. i dout the header will follow the same course or drop out in the same place. if it fits under the hood you may still have to modify your current exhaust to fit it

As temporary fix i would fiberglass the floor make a thin patch out of wood, metal or even cardboard to cover the big the hole then lay a few layers of fiberglass over the floorboards. this will make a strong waterproof patch that should have no problem making it through the winter.

what do you mean by "no power" I have a 2.5L TBI,AX4,3.55 gears and 31X10.50's only mods are cold air intake,no cat and a flowmaster muffler. the truck actually suprises people,it can burn the 31s if i get on it hard enough, runs 75mph+ on the interstate no problem and can out accelerate some small cars. only time i notice a problem is climbing steep hills. its not a rocket but i wouldnt call it a turd.

Lower control arm drop bracket
mnkyboy replied to billy_ritter's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Rocky road outfitters sells drop brackets for the comanche,I'm sure others do too. http://www.rocky-road.com/xjcad.html -
I wouldnt expect much from a spacer. I would be suprised if you could find one for a TBI 2.5L, they are more common on MPFI engines.

4.5" Lift/driveshaft question
mnkyboy replied to Kyle B's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
your driveshafts will be fine at 4 1/2" of lift -
I stay around 18mpg with the TB 2.5L and AX4 running 31s with stock gears. my brother has a 95 YJ with MPFI 2.5L and AX5 and somehow gets a little worse mileage then i do.

make sure the cap on the coolant bottle is sealing, ive seen several were the the cap doesnt seal and they would overheat at idle.
-
I heard about that on the radio,If somebody is offended by the flag they need to get the hell out of the country.
-
I have a 5" lift with stock uppers and lowers, truck drives fine. so no you don't need them although they would be good to have. you should be able to get what you have to work

I could make you one. The tube bender is at my brothers in coos bay but he could probably bring it to my place in Vancouver, i want to make a rear bumper for mine anyway.
-
you have four control arms(two upper and two lower) and one trac bar going to the axle
-
kroil is made by kano labratories they also make an aerosol (aero kroil) It works very well,i don't know that its any better then PB as i use and like both.
-
I have to go with the tube bumper too. I made this one for my MJ.

Rocky Road - Comanche Lift Kit
mnkyboy replied to ScottyDog's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I wonder how many companies can claim to never had a single component failure, things happen. you also have to look at installation were the parts installed correctly? in the example of the failed track bar I'm not saying it was put in wrong as i have no idea but i can say that if the bolt was overtightend and the bushing pinched it would have failed exactly as described no matter who sold it to you. My MJ is a daily driver and i have put thousands of miles on my 5" RRO lift with no issues and I'm currently still running stock control arms and no drop brackets. the RRO lift really isnt cheaper then the others they just market the kits differently, they sell the bare minimum to lift your MJ then you have to add everything else where other companies put it all in one kit. once you add it all up the price is comperable to other kits. so i guess you do get what you pay for as in you pay half as much but get half as many parts.but IMO the quality is as good as anyone elses. the only negative thing i can say about RRO is it took a long time to get my parts but they didnt bill me until they shipped the packages -
2" Trailer hitch reciever from Uhaul
mnkyboy replied to CRF136N's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
I have the same exact hitch on mine with some minor modifications. -
you never seem to think about the cards with an encounter like that. the cards work better in places like parking lots. this is why i have comanche club across the back window and i have the club stickers on the fenders under the comanche emblems.people notice them when they check out the truck. one of these days I'm gonna have to get me one of the big logo decals and the windshield decal then i will have a driving club advertisement.

the other day i was in a turn lane when a guy who was turning the off the road i was getting onto stopped right next to me and started asking me about my MJ and my lift. he went on telling me about his and how he just ordered a 3" for it. the whole time still sitting partway in a busy intersection,he finished and thanked me for talking with him then drove off as my light turned green and i continued on my way. it was cool that my MJ caught his eye enough to stop in the middle of the intersection to talk about it but kinda wierd too.
