  2. I would get a fuel pressure tester and see what happens to the fuel pressure when it starts acting up . I just changed a cps in a 00 XJ , it died on me when I was doing a brake job on it . How I determined the CPS was bad was by hitting the CPS with a piece of pvc pipe while cranking it immediately after it died and it fired right up and ran great for another 5 minutes. It may not be the most scientific test but it worked in that case .
  3. They are the same up to an 01 Cherokee . If a junkyard doesn't have any Cherokees they should still be available at the dealer or someone on here should have some
  4. I'm fine with the way it is now , minus the photobucket crap . If there is a price involved I'm willing to help with the cost .... as long as I'm not paying hundreds .
  5. I have two new Mopar hub bearings 53007449 53007449ab My 99 Cherokee has two bad bearings and when checking to see if these would fit on the XJ Jeeps parts catalog I'm getting an unclear answer . The parts catalog says the bearings won't fit with cast rotors I've done 4 brake jobs on this so far since I've owned it and I remember there being an option that replaced the full cast rotor , so I can't say for sure what rotors the jeep were born with . My brakes are in good shape and I don't need to replace them and I have a HP30 , any way to know if these are right or not ? Does the AB suffix make a difference? And what all do these part numbers fit ? So I can use them on something else possibly. Thanks in advance
  6. Check to make sure the ignition switch isn't burned / melted at all . Is the auto shutdown relay triggered?

  13. Are you sure you didn't knock anything off ? Like the Map hose or any other vacuum lines ?
  14. 3/4 clusters were mostly complete gauge set, minus tach. Still had a large fuel gauge. Yeah, I figured that out now. Why? Who can live without a tach?> I can
  15. I know it's been asked before , but it may make more sense now ? I too will have succumbed to the PB drama ...
  16. I appreciate the time you took to go look at the mat , I'm still trying locate the jeep / amc one though . No need to apologize, you were only trying to help .
  17. I think it has to move up slightly to come off. I have one at home to see how it comes off for sure .
  18. I think it stripped out . I'll just go to the next bolt size and drill the hole in the retainer bigger , I already have extra brackets ...
  19. Yes I'm interested, if it's in good shape and if it's a factory one . Thanks for the help Yeah I can get some pictures for you today and let you know. Thank you .

  21. Well I've already put a 1000 miles on her with minimal issues It runs great , plenty of power , handles great , rides good ( maybe a hair stiff ) stops on a dime , no rattles now ( there was one ) . There is a small oil leak that drops a few drops of oil on the exhaust, and for the first couple minutes it causes a little smoke while it burns off . While driving back from Butler Pa ( about an hour away ) I hit some railroad tracks doing about 25mph and heard some rattling then metal sliding against the asphalt. I stopped and looked to see what it was and found out it was the coil spring retainer that attaches to the axle housing with a 13mm bolt . I'm really surprised that is all that has happened as of yet , especially being that basically the whole truck had been taken apart . I think I'm going to leave it alone because I don't want to press my luck lol.
  22. Looks good Troy . I spy a burnt red Comanche in the picture lol. I may have missed it , but what did you do with the box truck ? P.S. I'd be a buyer on the front bumper/spoiler if you decide to sell .
