Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. Thanks for the photo, you are right, here are some pics of those hooks, as long as I can tell the brackets seem the same but the hooks are kinga taller at the mounting base
  2. Hello to you all, as usual I'd like to ask you for advice, this time regarding front towing hooks and brackets I came along to a set of those tow hooks removed from a '98 XJ and I wonder if they would fit the '92 MJ, they look a little different from pictures of '96 and older XJ's and MJ's I've found Being taken from the "newer" XJ line I'm in doubt if they will fit the Comanche Any advice will be greatly appreciated Kind Regards
  3. Hello to you all Hate to bother you with newbie questions but, Is the front driveshaft the same in a 4.0 l manual or auto transmission MJ? Thanks
  4. Sorry Eagle, forgot that... 1990, 6 cylinder, (5 speed manual)
  5. Hello to you all Newbie question here, sorry but my clutch master cylinder is wrong and I need a replacement, the one I removed from the truck is the one in the first photo but all the replacements I've been able to find are like the one in the second catalog photo so I wonder if the new replacement will fit even if it's not exactly the same my truck had installed Your advice is highly appreciated
  6. Hi, thanks for asking, the '90 will remain as a 2WD with no modifications I'll convert the ' 92 to 4WD, I will keep both and try to find a nice place when my wife kick us three out of the house...

  8. Just found your post and as a newbie that is going to start a similar journey for a MJ restoration project I found it full of information and inspiration, nice work you are doing on this one
  9. Yes, that would be the best, fix the details in the 90 and leave the 92 as a long term project, thanks for your opinion
  10. The problem is the speedo/odometer in both is inoperative, the 90 stopped at 147, 991 and the 92 at 126, 542 but who's counting? I am the fourth owner of each (that I am aware of)
  11. Thanks all for your options but let me rephrase the question to you all, lets say that owning your two Comanches you will stand against untamable forces of nature (aka W.I.F.E.) that will force you, in order to avoid endlessly source of conflict and disapproval gazes, to part from one of your trucks would you all still favor the cleaner 90 over the messed up 92?
  12. Thank you for your advice, I'm not really the hot rod kind, but the general consensus seems to be building the already messed up 92 and leave the 90 be
  13. Very nice truck by the way, I like the color, is that the original paint?
  14. I think you are right, I won't try to fix what is not broken
  15. OK then, gone the remorse of wheeling the 92 then, also I like your concept of the mild offroader
