Comanche Fan (3/11)

  1. This winter I have been up to SIA 4 times to plow snow. I was hoping that with some of the snow fall we had I would see your MJ. Chances were slim seeing as how 2 of my visits were during shutdown. Hope you are liking it up there and this Indiana weather
  2. 10-4. Was not sure if being on a lift in the air mattered or not. Doesnt sound like it does. Thanks all!
  3. Bleeding the rear brakes on my 92 Comanche. Had a line blow and had it replaced. Can you bleed the brakes when the truck is on a two post lift? I still have the proportioning valve and I did not know if the valve completely extended would create a problem while bleeding the rear brakes. Any info is appreciated
  4. I will grab one today if I possible. Thanks for the help fellers!
  5. Checked the Ecu last night. Everything looked to be good. Got a code 12 because I had left the battery unplugged. Got a draw from the aftermarket stereo installed by the previous owner, I think. Also got a 54. Related to the distributor sensor? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I will look into that. The auto shutdown relay read good on the tester. :dunno:
  7. Title says it. The jeep was running just fine and the next day I went to start it, it would crank but not fire. I have checked the cps and it reads good. Ended up replacing it with a new one from Napa because I still did not have spark. This did not fix the problem. I then pulled the ignition coil. It looked like it could have been on its way out so I replaced it with a new one from Napa. This did not fix the problem. Discovered I do not have power to the coil. All fuses and relays are good and have not found a bad wire. Thinking of making a jumper wire if possible to see if we can get it running. At this point my brother and I are stumped. Any one have an idea of what can be done next?
  8. Looks like the hood ornament is a door knob...
  9. Very interested to see the blue one if a picture exists. My restoration build (whenever it gets started) is to take a 93 Country XJ I have and mate it with my 88 MJ and give my MJ a "Country" theme and HO swap. This maroon one is what I have had in mind aside from the color....and all of the chrome. Great looking truck!
  10. A little beat up around the wheel well, but     http://www.ebay.com/itm/1985-1986-1987-1988-1989-1990-1991-1992-Jeep-Comanche-pickup-NOS-bed-side-5659-/122397708463?hash=item1c7f78d0af:g:-K4AAOSwuxFYx~K6&vxp=mtr

  14. I appreciate all of the input so far! When the shop frees up and we get some things taken care of inside I plan on pulling the 96 back in to pull the box.
  15. I was also curious if the '96 wiring would be a problem. I can't imagine it being different, but as you said, its obd2 and could be. If I take the time to do this, I am buying all new components. It won't save me money if I just have to come back and replace it later.
