  1. Thank you for putting this all together! I’m looking every day for the perfect one 👍
  2. I’ve seen yours in town on occasion! Are you the guy that works with Elliot?
  3. Looking for a turnkey MJthat’s equal parts Wheeler and DD. Should have a 4.0 or LS swap done right, short box, and 35-37” tires on appropriate axles and gears. The body doesn’t have to be a 10 but it should be an 8 or better 😉. I Know a head turning MJ is hard to find these days and I know it won’t come cheap, but I do have 2 solid MJs that are ready to build into everything I described and more. I will trade one or both of them, or just cash, whatever it takes to make the deal. I’ve got a tow vehicle and a a hauler so I am able to come and get yours, or bring you mine for trade. If I can’t find the right MJ to buy, I’ll just build both of these. Only reason I’d rather have one already built is because it’s gettig more difficult for me to do the work. Anyway here’s what I currently have, located in ND. These are rust free with the exception of some rust on the red one behind the driver door in the usual spot. The red one has a set of spare doors to. Red one is an 88 Pioneer, 4.0l, auto, 4x4, HP D30/44 short box and the silver one is an 87 Sportruck, 2.5l, 4x4 conversion, 5sp, D30/35. So if you like to build em and then start over, then let’s make a deal.
  4. I’m loving this build, thanks for sharing it. So about those bed armor plates, would they protect the bed from drop offs like ledges and stuff? I want to build a wheeler but I don’t wanna bob my bed or remove it. I’d go this route if they would work as “sliders” per se.
  5. Hey all. I've got an idea to trim up some roof rack rails from an XJ to mount on the MJ. Then add a small basket, say about 30"x 49" to the rails. I'd use it as a means to carry a spare and mount a light bar. The idea being its removable for daily driving , etc. I know the rain gutters would work as a mount but I'm not a big fan of mounting roof accessories that way. I tried to do a google image search but there's not much out there. Has anyone done anything similar? In my head it would look kick @$$ but in reality it may be a different story.
  6. Let me know if I can help in any way with that bypass. I'm not tech savvy, but I know there's a crap ton of good info on this forum
  7. Well crap. :/
  8. Ok dumb question here guys. On some of the older, sticky threads on this forum I can't see the pics at all. This is a problem for me since I need the visual aids to go along with the write up, especially for the 97 XJ Conversion I'm about to get into. This is what I see: I thought maybe I needed to upgrade my photobucket account but that upgrade is several hundred bucks! What gives? Thanks
  9. Great write up, can someone tell me how I can view the pictures?
  10. I'm in for pins and patches for a plain Comanche or a pioneer as soon as they're available!

It's funny how the owners manual is still in the glove box but the build sheet is nowhere to be found. There were some aftermarket speakers in the doors so maybe that's when it disappeared.

Thanks, I don't take any offense at all. Intrigued that there would be a build sheet hidden somewhere in one of the doors...no luck under the seat springs.

Interesting history. I know I don't have your folks knowledge of what was available back then but I do know this thing looks untouched apart from the body panels up front to repair damage from a crash. It doesn't look like it was ever wheeled so apart from towing, I don't know why anyone would have gone to the trouble to swap the rear end. My bet is on a factory install. Is there any way to get a build sheet?

That's good to know! I'm new to the MJ but I feel like I got pretty lucky. I am curious why the column shift is sought after? I've got floor shifter in the XJ and prefer it.

Here's the worst of it by the passengers door, close up shots: So would that need to be cut out or ya think it could be brought down to bare metal
