Reproduction Tail Light Assy'
Strokermjcomanche replied to mrmel2you's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've talked to several people about making tail lights (including Omix Ada ) and nothing ever comes out of it . A kid on the Facebook group said he's making them but it's been several months and I haven't seen any progress. I've even offered my new tails for reverse molds , if the new lights wouldn't see any damage. -

There is a black piece that is supposed to cover the hole , most get tossed or are brittle and break . -
Yes , they are going to be black . We talked about colors , but the colors may not match and right now it's too much of a hassle to have all the different colors made and sit on the shelf and hope I can sell them . He he did start making them and said I should get some sometime next week (it takes hours to make one bezel ) . I will ship in the order that I received once I get a cleared payment , I will be sending my PayPal information VIA Pm on here in the next couple days .Thanks to everyone that ordered !!! , I will stop taking orders at the end of the month , so if you'd like to order do it by then . Thanks again

I have done it , kind of . I had had a leaky MC and had to switch the reservoir over because the New MC didn't come with one . But in my case I had to bleed the brakes afterwards. Your theory seems sound ,I don't think you'll lose that much fluid to introduce air in the system . After filling the reservoir I would let the brake fluid sit for awhile to allow the air bubbles to rise before pressing the brake pedal at all...

Smokers vent windows
Strokermjcomanche replied to dustyinthedirt's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yes , if the yard will allow you to . I have a pigtail that I keep in my junkyard bag that I use so I don't have to cut theirs , or you can use some wire and spade connectors . -
Smokers vent windows
Strokermjcomanche replied to dustyinthedirt's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Easier to switch just the smokers windows . Be sure to bring a drill battery so you can lower the power windows to get the vent window out . When you lower the window you'll have to pull the nut (or torx bolt ) to allow the window to go all the way to the bottom of the door to allow enough room to pull the vent window . -

Strokermjcomanche replied to Mnh88xj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When I did mine(95 XJ into 89 MJ ) I just used rubber hose to connect the two steel lines together , this was before dorman came out with these ... https://autoplicity.com/187759-dorman-oe-solutions-nylon-to-steel-fuel-line-compression-union?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2vX_jLbl2AIVRlgNCh3BWAHUEAQYASABEgJUzPD_BwE , they also have steel to steel connectors you can also take the 91+ lines off at a junkyard or buy the correct dorman lines .... -
23gal Fuel Sending Unit
Strokermjcomanche replied to WahooSteeler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm not sure if it's an optical illusion, but it looks like the lines come straight out . I've never seen an MJ sender that didn't have curved lines , which is why I was wondering... -
