Ran out of cut off wheels but the floor pan is fitting nicer than I thought it would . I was trying to have the pan welded in today but other things got in the way . -

I spent some time on it and did some quick bodywork to make it look better . I went through the Jeep and replaced the brakes , gave it an oil change , scrubbed the interior, put a new exhaust and O2 sensors on it for the next owner (whoever that will be ..) -

I picked it up this morning and started to tear it apart because the interior is trashed, the PO used the interior as an ashtray and it has seen better days . I will be putting the Agate interior in and it was included in the purchase price of the Cherokee, I just have to go and pull the parts myself. As mentioned before it's really solid except for one spot ... the passenger front floor . -

No you aren't seeing the same Jeep twice, it's almost a carbon copy of my 99 and it's way more solid than it too . -

I have been looking for a replacement for it as I have nothing else that will seat more than two people, then I seen an ad for a 98 Cherokee that popped up ..... -
So I have a 99 XJ that I've had about 16 years , originally had 37k miles on it and now it has 142k miles . It has now reached the point that I don't have the desire to fix the extent of rust it has (only to have it come back ) . It looks good in the pictures but not in person ...

In the transmission, they can be checked by measuring the ohms at the transmission electronic plug . -
TRANS fuse keeps blowing.
Strokermjcomanche replied to Knucklehead97's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Might have a bad solenoid ( possibly blowing the fuse ?) , mine "shifted " to but was a dog too. I ended up having two bad solenoids out of the 3 in there . -

Manual to Automatic
Strokermjcomanche replied to Comanche_Dee's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had an 87 2.5 aw4 2wd MJ (also had A/C ) , it ran great down the freeway / downtown/etc nothing wrong with that truck by any means . I fail to see where he posted that he was street racing on the weekends and wanted more power , why can't he do what he wants to his own truck ?????? To the OP , no reason you couldn't be into that swap for $500 , where do you live ? -

NEW MJ Fuel Sending Units
Strokermjcomanche replied to mrmel2you's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When you are referring to a "sending unit " that is just the fuel gauge sender that you are using . I'm just saying this so no one goes out and thinks that this will be a bolt on affair ( the fuel tank baffles ) . You can purchase an H.O or Renix fuel XJ sending unit and harvest the fuel gauge sender so the gauge will not read backwards. The operating pressure of the renix 2.5 is around 17 PSI and the 4.0 is 31-39 PSI . The Walbro pump has the correct specs although some people say you can run the same in both ... Good write up though ! -
I do

My 87 sportruck
Strokermjcomanche replied to Strokermjcomanche's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
The brakes were non existent . Had to replace the wheel cylinders, shoes , hardware , hoses, calipers , rotors , turned the drums , also replaced all 4 shocks and the steering stabilizer Probably going to to end up using these canyon wheels and 31s
