  1. Just another wasteful un American thing that the Obiden administration perpetuated on the American public.
  2. Merry Christmas We couldn’t put a real tree up inside for various reasons. So l put one up outside.
  3. We run snows on my wifes Accent. We put them on around Nov 15 and take them off Apr 15. I run an all season that’s almost an AT year round on my 2005 Grand Cherokee. It’s the V6 with the single speed AWD. It works good in the snow.
  4. Years ago l drove a 1978 F150 2wd Long bed until late February when l threw new all seasons on it. There was cord showing on both rears. It went through several good sized snow storms and l remember passing a square body blazer going up a hill while it was throwing snow from both ends up in the air. Momentum is your friend. My tires don’t get even close to being that worn before I change them now.
  5. A friend of mine was working in Atlanta when there was a snow “storm”. He was amazed by how empty the streets were because the accumulation was what we would consider a dusting. He also commented on how terrible the majority of the drivers were that were out in it.
  6. I probably could find some but the 2,700 miles between us is a bit of an obstacle. I do have an XJ 44 and I have a set of Old Man Emu XJ 3.5” springs that you could cut the eyes off the main leaf and put under your main leaf for a close approximation of a Metric ton leaf set. The sheet metal would be harder to source around here.
  7. That truck is quite salvageable, please don’t cut it up. I took one with less parts on it and saved it. I used the parts off of 2 rusted junk MJ’s and an XJ and it’s a stunning truck now. I can’t find the final photo but it was converted to a 98 XJ nose and doors and painted silver.
  8. Is that red truck a 4 or a V6? I might be interested if it’s a 4cyl stick.
  9. It is a 22 yr old vehicle and if the O2 sensors haven’t been replaced they could’ve been disturbed in the swap. I personally would change them out for a set of oem sensors and see what happens. Or take it to an emissions or exhaust specialist.
  10. We had an 80 Olds Regency 98 my Dad bought new. It got 26 mpg if l remember correctly. Big luxobarge. It was good highway car its first 100,000 miles at least. It needed the injector pump rebuilt a couple times at $600 a pop in the 80’s. I think he replaced the engine once. It wasn’t a bad car but it wasn’t a good engine.
  11. I think that econobox above yours is much more of a pos than yours is. Unless that’s your Lada. Oh, and I’d take your truck before any of those Audi’s.
  12. You’ll surely find more of them in the dry states than you will in the salt states.
  13. It would be very rare in my area. Hardly ever see 84-86 XJ’s. Probably a V6 being a Laredo. It might even have the rocking seats.
  14. What you want to look out for is how much pressure the feet are going to put on your floor. If your floor isn’t solid or you don’t want to mar the finish throw a sheet of plywood down. The weight itself isn’t going to be an issue for even the lightest gvw.
  15. I’d probably buy that 4cyl comanche near you for a summertime daily driver. Pay off my debt, buy a couple of the larger parcels of land around town. Have Moonstone timber frame build me a house. Actually two, a house for my wife on one parcel and a cabin for me on another with a decent sized steel building so l can build my own rigs in all the free time I’ll have.
  16. If anyone finds an unused stock full size standard 5 spoke aluminum spare from the late 80’s early 90’s I’d be interested in it. Preferably still in its spare tire cover. I have 3 so far and could use a couple more.

    SEMA 2022

It’s definitely the same rig, they changed the paint scheme on the hood and changed the wheels.
  18. This, I just use the regular browser. lf I tried to learn how to use an android device it would be like learning Swahili after 14 years of using an iPhone.
  19. We’re at $3.50 the cheapest regular. Average is around $3.75.

The skins are the best part of potatoes. That’s where all the nutrients are. Also l don’t care for whipped potatoes. I like smashed potatoes, hit a whole potato once with a masher and call it good. Pepper and butter are all you need.

    Dogs!

Nope, cats do not suffice. At all.
  22. I wouldn’t run that oil in anything you cared about. Only thing l would run it in is something that’s already leaking or burning a lot of oil.
  23. That Snap-On panel on the delivery truck would make awesome garage art.
  24. Me personally I’d run a modern synthetic in 10/40. Oil technology is advancing all the time. I’ve mostly used synthetic for the last 20 years on anything that I was going to keep. I never have had any internal engine problems or oil burning in anything I’ve had. Most were high mileage vehicles when l bought them. Oil is cheap compared to an engine rebuild.
