  1. AMEN!!! I couldn’t have said it better myself.
  2. Should be 3.07’s with both being 4.0 5 speeds.
  3. Yes, the front brakes are different from the 87 so just remember you have a 96 front end.
  4. I drove my XJ’s and my MJ’s like l stole them. Last time l drove an XJ was that red 98 as my daily in 2021. I’ll drive them the same way if l ever get another. They were some of the most fun vehicles I ever had. Oh, I’m also nearly 60.
  5. My daughter and her insignificant other were in a wreck with the 98 XJ l gave them. Probably around 40mph into a very large Ash tree. His airbag didn’t go off but he had his seatbelt on. Hers did go off but she didn’t have her seatbelt on. His face went into the windshield and it looked like he was cut up real bad with a razor knife but nothing deep. She broke her arm in several places but otherwise unscathed.
  6. I paid $600 for one 2 years ago. $2,500 it better have new brakes, king pin bearings and ujoints.
  7. White 2 door XJ also.

    Beer

The only thing peanut butter should be paired with is strawberry preserves and bread.
  9. That car was put there quite a while ago judging by the size of that tree.
  10. What a shame. Just like all the nice Cherokee’s traded in for cash for clunkers.
  11. What l did with my truck was take a set of XJ 4” springs and cut the eyes off of them and used them with just the stock main leaf. About the equivalent of a set of metric tons. I put 2” spacers in the front and it was nearly level with just the right amount of rake.
  12. Metric Ton Turbo Diesel? How many of those were made? 10? Lol

    Rust

Lots of “that’ll do” in most American cars of that era and all the era’s before.
  14. Chatgpt is SkyNet. https://amgreatness.com/2023/02/24/in-ai-tech-the-left-replicates-itself/
  15. Seems your radiator is your biggest problem. Radiator shouldn’t be a big problem to overcome. What kind of radiator do you have? Was it new or rebuilt. I have had good luck with Spectre radiators from the parts store. It’s chinese so not ideal but l never had trouble with the ones I’ve had. 2 maybe 3
  16. I want to pick this up in the worst way but it’s over a thousand miles away.
  17. I have a really nice one with the horn button too. Waiting until l get a new bestop on my YJ to change out the stock plastic wheel.
  18. Here’s a really rare one. A Country Eliminator Chief. Lol All with a HO drivetrain and wiring harness.
  19. Or just a hood off a Chief of the same color.
  20. That steering setup!
  21. $10,000 is more than I would want to spend but it’s probably worth it. I haven’t seen one of the step sides in many years. There weren’t to many of them to begin with.
  22. Great Great Grandfather!? You’re a fortunate man to have been able to spend time with him. My Dad’s dad passed away in 1953, 11 years before l was born and my Great Grandfather passed away in 1923, he was born in 1852. My GGGF would’ve been born in the 1820’s or 30’s. If he was still alive when l was born he would’ve been in his 130’s or so. He lived and died in Sweden.
  23. My 78 evaporated into a pile of rust 25 or more years ago. My 92 wasn’t looking much better when I sold it 5 years ago.
  24. I bought my running and driving 92 MJ for less 13 years ago. The tail gate wasn’t in as good condition as that one though.
