  1. I did that as well and still got a damn oil stain on it.
  2. Cleaned up nice. Now just need to swsp that seat for a heated hi-lo seat.
  3. Just sayin or just typing 🤷
  4. Yeah is 76" long and fits better on the jeep then the old ford work truck. Little paint and new seals and maybe a new handle and it will be good to go for my needs. I have 3 chainsaws that fit quite nicely in it and it will be nice to have quick access to them as I'm often cutting wood. Would you believe I have more wood work in the city then in the woods? I was liking the idea of using the 2 smaller vanity boxes perhaps on the other side but I'm thinking not with the big box installed. Be it a nice spot to make a bed in the back now, I have the nice window view now for those days parked lake side. So thinking I'm going to keep windows on the passenger side. Not to mention nice to be able to still be able to check my blind spot. Gotta finish up front sections of decking and create storage holes for gear. Then get it sealed up and then test it out. almost a full moon so its time to go.
  5. I would say overkill but you doing it to be the last time and be useful for atleast the next 20 years. Well did good sir. definitely enjoy your shop build as it gives me inspiration for mine when I finally figure a spot to create one for that 20+ years of working out of. But in the mean time I will enjoy your creativity. One thing I do know is there is never enough storage.
  6. Glad to hear its running smoothly again. Thats a real nice tool box. Good upgrade.
  7. And let there be light!
  8. Thanks. Meto. Bundled up as planning for a long night, trying to get it oh so water tight, Working underneath the moonlight, I lite a fire to my delight, No need to double check your sight, I'm always offgrid regardless of those city light's. 😌 #MaynardHood Adventures.
  9. I wanna say 1/4" or 3/8" should be about right. May need to grind the head on a standard bolt to a round shape to fit the hole. Harder the better couldn't hurt. I found some allen bolts at ace to work for mine. Solid head will keep them sitting in the perch square and contributing strength to the ubolt system. Think Peace of mind win everytime 😌
  10. Mine look good, personally. and I have yet to break any tails since install.
  11. Fire hazards is not as big an issue as an electrical shock issue. Be it laying on floor and some water is near, or as I have done personally, grab the cord to hold out of the way while cutting and gotta poke to wake me up.
  12. Led tails are nice.
  13. Time and effort is all part of the jeep life experience. Enjoy my friend, you have worked hard and deserve the recognition. love the little truck big boat issue. Living the dream.
  14. So after some fun in the woods and staying in the cabin, I decided I would like to get a bit more off the trail on the next adventure. So I'm going to continue the budget friendly work with what I got as I go work/overlanding/pointAtopointB/nocarpayment but its a jeep project. So let the custom creations begin. Looks much better in my head from when I first started designing it few years ago when I acquired the one chainsaw tool box. So you could say it is the heart of the bed project as it will be holding my favorite Chainsaws. And as time goes and use it, like most things that I work out of, I will change things and add things to make more practical for how I utilize the rig. Often on the go, I perfer to stay out of the snow, and be nice to have a place to go, a place to have a bed, to make it easier to chase the dreams in my head, which isnt much but dreams of reliability, as breaking down is always a possibility, so a place to carry extra parts, warm place to sleep while I fart, yes this jeep comanche owns my heart. Oops, I think I let out a shart...😬 Just another day living the dream and enjoying those MaynardHood Adventures..
  15. Split the handle install fresh 10 ft cord. Oil the motor install fresh blade and run it.
  16. Was a great reference when finally installed some on my Jeep.
  17. I have swapped whole harness a few times now and it has been the easiest way to swap out drivetrain upgrades. I have gone from puke to ax15 to aw4 to aw4 back to ax15 and still love the control and reliability of the ax15.
  18. Good rubber, nice. You going to paint the body as well?
  19. Always a need, plenty of people to be reached. Short informational digital book perhaps. What about the relevance overtime being programs being outdated? How about a book about living on a budget more so. How much does it really cost, how much would you need to sacrifice for the budgeting. 🤔
  20. If it will work all yours get it off my floor!
  21. Good $#!&ter and getter.
