  1. HellCreek sells an AAL that does that (essentially an MJ main leaf with the eyes removed). comes with hardware too (clips and center bolts). An XJ main would work and provide no "lift" perse. but if your leafs are sagging, the added carrying capacity might bump it up a small amount from what it is now.
  2. 97+ is a thicker seal and should be an upgrade for ya.
  3. are 4.88s even available for the 8.25?
  4. I've forgotten, what rear axle do you have?

    GPS?

pretty sure ours also does other languages. gotta imagine they all would these days. :dunno: can't say for sure though. we have it set to the british lady. she refers to the freeway as the "motorway". :D
  6. couple thoughts: -3/16 box steel is pretty difficult to hurt -the greater the difference between metal thicknesses, the greater the challenge in welding them together I'd go 3/16
  7. bedside patch panels are the best we get. :( or just go down south or out west and buy up a whole bed from a junkyard.
  8. I reused my clutch since it was almost new. beyond that, nothing swaps over that I can think of. :dunno: edit: you do have to retain your current CPS.
  9. you can try messaging Hell Creek. I bet he'd have that in one of his books.

    GPS?

I have an older tom tom and like it a lot. best part is she never says the word "recalculating". :)
  11. just make sure it's not an AX-5. they look kinda similar (and lord knows I can't tell the difference without seeing them next to each other) and are NOT interchangeable. If the XJ had a 4.0, then it's definitely an AX-15.
  12. I had MJ parts and TJ parts available to me and aren't quite sure which links I used (I think I used all MJ stuff). but the bracket is custom. I saw that two unused bolt holes lines up with the imaginary pivot point and so made my own bracket from a flat piece of steel.
  13. very nice  I got to spend Christmas with my family.

    cool MJ RC model

:dunno: they seem to have wires going to them...
  15. thank goodness, no. mine is related to a long bout with mono, which I guess is sorta related since it too is a tiny little thing that attacked my body and sucked my energy away. I do know what you mean by a "fog". spent a few years of my life in it. pretty deep in it too. don't ever want to go back. glad to know you're finally feeling free of it.
  16. As I understand it (and I could be wrong), a CV joint has a certain amount of flex in it (two joints together instead of one). you just can't have that flex right next to the slip joint.
  17. so you do have an SYE. that would explain the CV shaft.
  18. no harm in stealing ideas from other makes. :D
  19. that second line going to it can be difficult to bleed if any air gets in it. not saying that's your issue, but it's something to ponder after trying the usual suspects. you probably just need to rebleed the truck. be sure to start with the furthest from the booster (back/right) and work your way closer. also, double check to make sure your rears are properly adjusted so there isn't any slop.
  20. it's right above the drivers side of the rear axle. 2 brake lines go in, one comes out. has s small lever on it connected to the axle.
  21. do you still have the prop valve out back?

    Back for a bit

    ouch! :ack:
  23. we might be doing a cafepress style thing next. especially since  Brett put forth the effort to get a decent vector image of our logo we could use.
  24. oh yeah!
  25. no such thing as a "factory" dually MJ. far as we can tell they were fabbed up by an aftermarket company. but we still don't have an owner here to confirm the details. and they came with regular beds: plus anyone can convert their to dual wheel using a kit. my favorite dually:
