  1. our website won't host photos. you need an outside website like photobucket to host them, then you can share them here.
  2. It's MJ tech. any and all MJ tech is welcome and encouraged. If memory serves me, I think more 2wds were sold than 4wds.
  3. it boils down to search-ability. if the tech gets further split up, it's that much harder to find the info you're looking for.
  4. I don't believe the those stiffeners will be where it would need to be strengthened. For handling a big v8, I'd look at strengthening the frame where the motor mounts are.
  5. did you lock the CAD?
  6. how old are the rear u-joints? did you replace them with the lift? they can cause vibrations purely because you changed their operating angles.
  7. weird. have you removed the belt and spun the pulleys by hand yet?
  8. got pictures of what all is going on?
  9. what about a small leak somewhere between the TB and air filter? that could make noise but not really affect idle. maybe. :dunno:
  10. back in the day I had a jar of peanut butter, a jar of honey, and some bread in my desk. made my own sandwich right there each day. never did get tired of it. :D think I'll go have one right now... nowadays, I don't have a job (and am single) and I make my food a gallon or 2 at a time (mostly from scratch). I then divide it up into meal-sized portions using Ziplock's awesome semi-disposabe tupperware and don't have to cook dinner for days. :) (a side note on the tupperware; the 2 square sizes share the same lids so there's no searching for the right lid  , and they are cheap enough that I don't mind ditching them if something goes wrong. love them!) upon reflection, I guess I benefit from the ability to eat the stuff I like for days a a time with no risk of boredom. though I imagine there are limits. I certainly don't make the same thing for my dinners each time.

pictures for sure!!! (also I cleared it up a bit. hope you don't mind man. )
  12. still broken. still can't find someone local that knows how to fix everything.
  13. please see CC rule # 1.
  14. snazzy!
  15. interesting thought. My sister's grand marquis has them. You'd have to tap into the wires where they are solid on, not blinking (in the steering column?). and I'd use a relay to power the new lights rather than hope the old wring can take the increased amps.
  16. there are links out in the internet for the old shop manuals in pdf form. that should cover the rebuild.
  17. did someone sell an XJ? :brows:
  18. sounds like a good plan to me. don't forget that lifting the front end changes your toe-in.
  19. easiest way is to give me the photo's address and I'll handle the rest.
  20. the AX-5 will bolt up fine, but the 242 will need to be the older (and rarer) 21 spline variety or converted to be that from the later 23 spline.
  21. please post in the classifieds if the truck is for sale
  22. viewtopic.php?f=37&t=15899
  23. any idea of how much it would cost to ship it across the pond?
  24. might just need a sway bar and more caster. that assumes that nothing is actually broken.
