    CC on FB!

I resisted for a long time, but FB has turned out to be a great way to stay in touch with far away friends.
  2. was last on in march. :( no response to my email.
  3. my 88 was my first ride that I bought. Mine all mine. :D during the next 4 years I spent 2-3 hours a day, 5-6 days a week in that bucket seat back when she was pulling DD duty. she was always fun to drive, though sometime temperamental. She taught me all about doing car repair myself. Later on, she provided some much needed recuperation and rehabilitation for me after an illness. took months to complete the buildup, but she came out looking and working fantastic. drove her out to Utah (3000 miles round trip) back in 05. Just me, my truck and my dog, hitting the open road in search of adventure. there are oh so many memories in that old truck, she's never going to be anything but mine. :D
  4. doesn't exist and isn't fixable unfortunately. :( But the good news is that many of us have just deleted it from the system with no ill effects. :D just plumb a T-fitting in it's place. another alternative is to get an aftermarket manually-adjustable on and put that in its place (removing the factory one will give full pressure to the rears and it's possible to lock them up before the fronts in some trucks).
  5. my 88's fuel pump was grounding itself to the rear ground point behind the driver's side tail light. not sure if it was supposed to do that, but it was. So if all else fails, clean up that ground, inspect the rear harness connector (located under the truck between the rear tire and that taillight), or do what I did and splice in a grounding wire right by the fuel tank.
  6. If you got the softer rate coils, I can definitely see a loss of an inch happening due to a heavy bumper and winch. When I ordered my springs, they asked if I had those items.
  7. junkyard. car-part.com might be of help with that. I'd just plan on replacing the whole unit.

    went wheeling

ahhh, I needed to update my flash player.
  10. generally speaking, the bumpstop should stop the tire from touching the fender.
  11. neat! with his level of perfectionism, that should turn out awesome!

    went wheeling

    I can't see it. :(
  13. so the consensus is that replacing the TC should be the cure?
  14. might want to look into doing that. just so you know, the bolts holding the bumpstops up like to snap. an alternative is to weld a bracket to the axle. after mine snapped off, I moved the whole bumpstop down to the axle.
  15. did yours drive normally after it warmed up?
  16. gotcha. there is one back there. not much snow in georgia, so it might be smaller than a northern version. I don't know the price of anything. I'm just the slave labor. :D
  17. VERY good news I'd say.
  18. :jump: woo hoo!
  19. once it reaches the bumpstops, it matters less how much more you add. :D
  20. borrowed a mixer. If I didn't have one available, we'd have purchased one. that was a LOT of mortar. it's a manufactured stone we got through Lowes. brand name is M-rock I believe. very nice stuff. was even able to pressure wash mortar some residue off with no injury to the color. what's a cricket (with regards to a chimney)? it's a propane fireplace if it matters.
  21. my sister's big white boat is slow to wake up in the morning or any time it's been sitting a while. the car needs to warm up before the trans will start transferring power. any thoughts? I'm looking to drop the pan and change the filter pretty soon (it's due).
  22. my dad and my bro-in-law helped when they could.
  23. I spent December at my folks place in GA and did the faux stonework that my dad has been dying to get up on his house. I had to restructure the front wall and practically rebuild the chimney, but in the end it was lots of fun and turned out great. :D don't worry about that green. paint will be happening in spring.
  24. jtdesigns was last on in march. :(
  25. I wouldn't be shocked if Jim flew them out himself. :D
