  1. so the consensus is that replacing the TC should be the cure?
  2. might want to look into doing that. just so you know, the bolts holding the bumpstops up like to snap. an alternative is to weld a bracket to the axle. after mine snapped off, I moved the whole bumpstop down to the axle.
  3. did yours drive normally after it warmed up?
  4. gotcha. there is one back there. not much snow in georgia, so it might be smaller than a northern version. I don't know the price of anything. I'm just the slave labor. :D
  5. VERY good news I'd say.
  6. :jump: woo hoo!
  7. once it reaches the bumpstops, it matters less how much more you add. :D
  8. borrowed a mixer. If I didn't have one available, we'd have purchased one. that was a LOT of mortar. it's a manufactured stone we got through Lowes. brand name is M-rock I believe. very nice stuff. was even able to pressure wash mortar some residue off with no injury to the color. what's a cricket (with regards to a chimney)? it's a propane fireplace if it matters.
  9. my sister's big white boat is slow to wake up in the morning or any time it's been sitting a while. the car needs to warm up before the trans will start transferring power. any thoughts? I'm looking to drop the pan and change the filter pretty soon (it's due).
  10. my dad and my bro-in-law helped when they could.
  11. I spent December at my folks place in GA and did the faux stonework that my dad has been dying to get up on his house. I had to restructure the front wall and practically rebuild the chimney, but in the end it was lots of fun and turned out great. :D don't worry about that green. paint will be happening in spring.
  12. jtdesigns was last on in march. :(
  13. I wouldn't be shocked if Jim flew them out himself. :D
  14. I've been unable to change the html successfully. not sure if it's me, or the issues with our site. (probably me) But I'll definitely keep in mind once I get someone to help me out with all the problems.
  15. when you say "easy to use"... I can't even get the main page to stop with the webring crap. :fs1:
  16. You'll want to look at older one-ton chevys. also, chevys have pass side t-cases.
  17. I'd go straight to a 60 front. kinda an expensive lesson to learn if it turns out it won't hold up to abuse. :ack: what front axle you will look for depends on what t-case you're running; pass drop or drivers drop.
  18. Yea that's what I read too. Idk why but mine has a 14 gallon tank. There is no way I can get more that 14 gallons out of it. hmmmm, maybe the fuel gauge isn't reading properly or the float is stuck and you're not actually at empty when it says. :dunno:
  19. 16 and 23.5 gal tanks are found under longbeds 18 gal for shortbeds
  20. perfectly normal. and I've seen much worse. you shoulda seen the tired leafs on my 88 before I did the buildup. :ack:
  21. if I built that behind my house without the proper gravel underlay, it'd look more like a moonscape after one winter.
  22. someone clearly doesn't experience a freeze/thaw cycle. :D must be nice! looks great!
  23. If it's cheap enough, I'd run that TJ axle. Is it slightly inferior to a similarly equipped HP axle? sure. Is it the end of the world? heck no.
  24. not just A bracket, but a drop bracket. they come both ways.
