Mine is in the cab normally (my back wall has a layer of 3/4" plywood so I can hang all sorts of things off it), but while on the trail I move it to a place where anyone could reach it. (the big steel extinguisher can also be used, but I carry it more for cleaning out my previous drum brakes or whatever needs a short power wash after mudding) a note: I've been told that long term storage on their side can be detrimental to their proper functioning.

I fixed mine with some ford axles and wider wheels/tires in the back. oh wait, that's probably not very pertinent to the conversation at hand. :rotf:

and for anyone reading this in the future, the bed is about 6" long in front of the wheelwell, and 6" longer behind the wheelwell. :thumbsup:

if you push the gas pedal too fast, the engine gasps and tries to stall. if you push slowly, it works ok. does the same in gear as in neutral. idles fine. sounds fine. started doing this right outta the blue. thoughts? :dunno: edit: took it for a spin and now it'll be fine, then bad, then fine, then bad. I think a fuel filter change is in my near future. can't hurt, right?

un-weighted length means less than ya think because the spring rates can vary.

XJs and wranglers can use them because they have short wheelbases and more severe angles on the driveshafts. MJs have more wheelbase and less angle and so the t-case drop usually just results in a loss of ground clearance. :thumbsup:

for my 88 I used preformed lines from the auto parts store. wasn't a perfect fit, but it has worked great so far. :thumbsup:

this comes up occasionally, and each time it has been the cookie settings on the users computer. make sure your 'puter is accepting the cookies from the site. :thumbsup:

"user control panel" in the upper right, then "profile" on the left, then "edit signature" on the left should get you there. :thumbsup: assuming you're looking to change your signature.

have you changed the speedo gear to account for the bigger tires?

did this slowness come on quickly or slowly? also, what size are those tires?

my roommate has come through :thumbsup: and the truck is tagged and back at home. (and by "come though" I mean the truck was missing for over a week and he didn't notice :fs1: ) now to deal with this "abandoned vehicle" ticket...

just lock the CAD over, remove all its lines, then plug the originating port. :thumbsup: no more lines to break and steal your 4wd at the most critical moments. :yes: though that probably won't solve the running rough problem. you might have gotten water on some of the electronics.

anyone know if the CAD vac line can suck up a bunch of water and do this?

I bet my code enforcer was just grinnin' like a damn jack-o-lantern. :fs1: So the 88 is technically in my dad's name and the state of michigan failed to get the plate renewal forms to him in georgia (moved a couple years back). the plate expired and the code enforcer jumped on it and tagged/towed it. no problemo you might think. I'll just go renew the tags, pay the fine, and get my truck outta hock. except that I'm out of state at the moment. no problemo, my roommate will go do it. not so fast. Michigan says ya gotta be family or have proof of same residency as the vehicle to renew a plate and of course he's only been there a few months and doesn't have that. so he's on his way to the secretary of state anyway with title in hand to see if there's anything they can do. updates as events warrant... :wall:
