  1. the proper length control arms should put the tire back in the center of the wheelwell automatically. unless you get adjustable, which require some measuring.
  2. I'm just glad you asked. :D much better than buying a pair and finding out the hard way.

    Pull a Part?

what brand/voltage is your cordless drill?
  4. oh there are plenty of differences. a cherokee donor would be preferable depending on how much you need from the donor. does the MJ have the complete wire harness?

    Pull a Part?

says the man that lives outside the rustbelt...
  6. how much of the engine do you intend to use? what's wrong with the current engine?

cordless sawzalls aren't that much money. and the best blades I've ever used are the gold-toothed Lenox brand I find at Lowes. well worth the investment.

    Pull a Part?

cordless sawzalls are miracle workers. :D
  9. if it's not the ballast resistor itself, it sounds like that circuit might have a break in it.
  10. what axles/gears are you using?
  11. you'll never get 5" out of an AAL. so your choices are SOA or full replacement leaf pack. what size tires are you looking to run?
  12. neat!
  13. very nice Brent!
  14. I've decided that shop-alignments are overrated on our trucks. a tape measure and a level piece of concrete are all you need to set your toe and align your steering wheel.
  15. just shift it into fulltime and forget about it. :D I don't remember the last time the Libby was shifted out of fulltime. :dunno:
  16. only use spacers that are of high quality and hub-centric.
  17. moving perches is easy. just get the welding done at your local muffler shop.
  18. what shape are the cables in? I'd replace those with some bigger units. sounds like the starter isn't getting enough juice.
  19. 86 (which is the one I'm assuming you're referring too) is the exception to any of the gearing rules. almost seems like anything could have been had with anything else. you'd have to check to be sure what's underneath. also, it could have been replaced/upgraded in the last 25 years. I know I would have if I was stuck with 3.55 gears and a 2.5L. :D
  20. a couple corrections. rules of thumb: 2.5L + 4spd manual = 3.55 gears 2.5L + 5spd manual = 4.10 gears You still have to move the spring perches on a cherokee axle no matter what you're doing with it. they are more outboard than comanche perches. Do not force it to work with the XJ perch location. you will eat you bushings in short order and then your axle will be off center.
  21. your flywheel must be from the year era (86-90) of your truck's electronics.
  22. lots of crap floating around in the tank that clogs the pickup screen when the level is low? :dunno:
  23. times a bajillion.
  24. what control arms are you running?
  25. have you tried pulling the intermittent brain box out of the system?
