a couple notes, the heavy blend hoodies should be the same hoodies we got last time. they aren't all that "heavy duty" and see more like a normal hoodie to me. :dunno: I'm guessing the light dutys are pretty light duty. also, I'm not a huge guy (6', 170lbs) and the large is just too small for me. XL is perfect. :thumbsup:

did you try burping it through the rear coolant sensor hole? (of course, I'm assuming that 94 XJs have one)

take LOTS of pictures as you go along dismantling the XJ so you'll know where they go in the MJ. :thumbsup:

what is currently lifting the rear? why not go SOA with some flatter leafs and keep the front as-is?

A simple continuity test will work, but I'm betting you won't even need that. Mine was painfully obvious when I pulled it out. The dang thing had corroded pretty bad and burned itself out. Same with my minivan too.

I had my rubber-isolator driveshaft cut down no problemo. :thumbsup:

air coming only from the defrost vents is usually a vacuum leak. check the line going to the vacuum canister behind the bumper. or do you mean heat won't work elsewhere? the fan could be a bad motor or a bad resistor panel. the resistors are located by the passengers foot in the air ducting and held in by a tiny screw (8mm wrench?).

the ebay ad lists it as 86-92, but in 86 there were only longbed MJs and that one there is a shortbed bedside.

if it has a rubber isolator, I generally refer to it as a 2-piece (2 parts separated by the rubber), but it's not that kind of 2-piece. :D

the brand new pump in my minivan failed and left me with essentially no power. :fs1:

that would be the first time I've ever heard of a 2-piece driveshaft coming apart at the rubber isolator. :dunno: not saying it isn't possible, but that does sound shady. 55mph is a common speed for tire imbalances to show themselves.

late 86s are reported to have the 87+ firewall.

MJ's have a foot more wheelbase over an XJ so rear shafts do not interchange. nothing in your MJ will help the 4.0 to function. it ALL needs to be swapped, including the radiator and rad support (which necessitates swapping the hood and latches too). it's been done. :thumbsup: oh, and you'll need to splice the XJs rear lighting wires into the MJ harness and the aforementioned fuel pump and whatever changes to the lines it might need.

the worst part is that it's close enough to force it, but you'll eat your bushings in short order and the entire thing will shift to one side. better to do it right. :thumbsup:

I had someone help me pull it straight and it's closer to 27 inches. does your source list any differences between them? or is it just a number?
