  1. just need some confirmation that the 2nd overload leaf is longer than the lowest leaf on both ends.
  2. tailgates seem to retain value even if they are messed up either way the parts are certainly worth saving.
  3. should be something in the link in my sig.
  4. at this point I think I'd scrap the entire thing for a dual booster setup and eliminate the rear prop valve. plus you'll gain superior braking power too.
  5. are you using the rear prop valve?
  6. would this info help make a better decision about which to use?
  7. did you weld on new perches or reused the stock XJ? for that high of a lift, I would definitely be looking at longarms.
  8. If you can remove the fabric without damaging it, you can have piece of mind that it can be returned to stock later on. then just recover the bench to whatever suits your fancy.
  9. overall the KJ bodies got some decent rust protection from the factory.
  10. this is why I bought all that KJ suspension stuff from the georgia yards. I have no intention of dealing with little pip squeaks like that when I do my lift. I did some suspension work on an older michigan car (late model Escort?) for a friend and got the trifecta of problems in the 3 bolts for the rear strut. one snapped bolt, one rounded off head, and one that endlessly spun in its hole. I still won the day, but 'twas a harsh lessen to learn about where the limit is for work I do just to save a friend a few bucks. some rust is for the pros.
  11. what trans is in the grand cherokee? what engine?
  12. yeah, TJs have a whole new headache to get the link stuff in. pretty sure there are trusses out there that can adapt the 8.8 to TJs, meaning a lot less guesswork.
  13. I imagine it'll all be gone soon.
  14. school is open?
  15. does Vegas completely shut down like north Georgia does?
  16. I know. and it frustrates me that in a world filled with 8.8s and 8.25s, people still go ahead and suggest the 44a or even 35 to other Jeepers. but I can't prove the guy wrong 'til I have proof.
  17. I'm not sure if this info is actually useful because I'd still never use either axle, but someone on facebook has put forth that he has witnessed 98 ZJ shafts put into a 00 WJ axle. this still sounds far fetched (the axles are different widths), but I'm curious enough to maybe try swapping them at the junkyard to se what happens. maybe there is just less spline engagement? If true, you could then use a WJ axle and get the ZJ shafts with the 5 on 4.5 pattern.
  18. some cool stuff in there. cool stuff indeed.
  19. holy crap! so happy you are back x2 on if they mentioned what might have caused it.
  20. thanks it's made entirely from NOS bits I've found over the years (including the complete bedside). some day I'll get the nerve to paint it 92 MJ hunter green.
  21. oh hell yeah. I'm moving this over to Epic
