yes, 3x4. the hitch height is really only an issue because the Liberty has a super low hitch plus that spare tire is in the way. Just make sure the hitch is at a normal height and that the front of the trailer has enough weight on it for safe towing when empty. Oh, and check your local rules for custom trailer building if you haven't yet. Not all states allow home-built trailers to be registered and you're likely going to want that official "vin" number to sell it.

I'm exhausted so work on it will wait til tomorrow, but I did just remember that it had been doing weird things when he put it to sleep the past couple months. (like turning off instead of simply going to sleep). far as I know, the only new program in the last few months was TurboTax.

that is my fear. bios work terrifies me. my brain has a hell of a time keeping track of changes or menus. and last time I tried altering bios stuff, I... sorta screwed stuff up on my laptop.

yeah, so this would be the pre-pre-pre-pre-production model and is not for sale. compared to XJs, Libertys are a... complicated beast up front. I now know why there aren't many bumper choices out there. I still haven't addressed the exposed horns or washer bottle, and the center skidplate is my best attempt at protecting the fragile bits right behind it. But I have given thought to a design that could be replicated, at least for the late KJs like mine. I need to be able to spend more time at Brandon's and it'll be a bit before I can do that. This trip was just a stopover on the way back to GA.

yes, but our trucks rot from the inside-out. you need to coat the inside of the frame, rockers, doors, etc. the surfaces you see are not the parts that fail first. its sad, but true.

WD40 eats paint over time. I prefer a spray lithium grease.

holy crap I now have a bumper! like, a whole bumper, not just a bracket that holds up the winch. I stopped by for a way-too-short visit with Brandon on my way back to GA and we were able to knock out the last bit of the bumper using his mad fab skills. I still need to finish up some internal painting and get those last 2 bolts in place, but it looks fantastic

heck, a modern phone might be able to keep track of your speeds and such via an app. you can totally big-brother yourself

I'll see how much effort it's going to be to produce a snippet of the quality but it's light years ahead of the $10 one I was experimenting with. you can always get a second device that tracks your speeds. I've seen ones that plug into the obd2 port and use gps to track you around.

33s only give you 1" more ground clearance over 31s and come with exponentially more headaches if you're trying to keep a survivor truck intact.
