yup, the VIN will give you the build date (plus other build data) so you'll know for sure what it is. what are your plans for the truck?

The peugeot's case splits into a left and right half. the AX-15 has a front and back half.

87 + 4.0 + manual = Peugeot unless it's been changed of course.

they look wet. be aware that once they dry they may not look quite as shiny. If you wet sand them and hit them with a clearcoat they can look almost new. Just some clarification, Rustys sells metal inserts that hold trailer lights, as opposed to plastic factory MJ lights. I've heard a lot of quality issues for fitment.
