so I'm organizing my pile o' stuff and when I got to the clocks, I noticed 2 different styles of clock plug. is it as simple as renix vs HO?

no. the thermostat only affect the bottom end of the temp range. once it opens up, it does nothing more to the situation until the temp falls back down to 180. I would put a 195 back in. you want to maintain the proper heat range. too cool can be bad too. 210 is the normal operating temperature for a renix 4.0L. check for radiator condition, fan effectiveness, etc.

I've only towed a truck on a trailer once and I did all of the above. straps and chains EVERYWHERE. I'm pretty sure if it had a rollover it would remain exactly where it was. good vid!

my 86 was a base model but still had the v6 yes, it should have the chrome too. but it's been 30 years. no guarantees. have you added them to the Registry yet? that might tell you what it came with out back.
