    Well, damn....

it's looking like the viral load you start with matters a lot. which makes sense because if you had passing contact with someone infected at the store, your body has less to fight off then someone who spent 2 hours in a car with raging cougher.
  2. the only reason my folks aren't getting a GC is the Durango comes with a bit more interior space. otherwise we'd have one too. wonderful tow rigs!

    Well, damn....

you can catch covid again after already having it, so I guess we're all screwed. or we can do the basics to lessen the chance of spreading it to our friends and family. it's all about mitigation. doing the basics that reduce the chances of the bad things happening. JMO you're going to see a lot of mixed responses because each decision is made by a different person or group that's making the choice based on their own needs at that time.

    Well, damn....

based on what I've seen in interviews with the people running hospitals, it has to do with eliminating workers who are unwilling to do the bare minimum to prevent bringing a highly contagious pathogen into a place where very sick people tend to be.
  5. There's so little in there that it won't matter. just don't get any in your face.

    Well, damn....

we're all tired of it. I think all americans can come together and agree on that. but sometimes the world just sucks and you have to do sucky things to get through it without it sucking way more. at least this isn't the spanish flu where they had no vaccine and the world more or less had to go with masks/distancing and then... wait for people to stop dying everywhere, I guess. that had to suuuuck. I can't even contemplate living through WW1, then the flu, then the great depression. dang.
  7. tough call. if I had the budget, I'd probably go with a selectable locker because I prefer an open rear diff for snow. there are other lockers to, electric and cable operated (at least I think they still exist).
  8. I'm part impressed and part terrified...

    Well, damn....

can't help but notice you said you want the "fear" to end, not the "horrible things that the illness is doing to people" to end. either way, the only end is if enough people get masked and vaxed so we can choke out the spread.
  10. a quick tap on the schrader valve in one of the ports will tell ya. chances are slim there's anything in there to worry about. grab all the parts you can.
  11. is there any pressure left in the system?
  12. diff is the same. axles are of the 29 spline variety. the snout has a flange on it so you'll need to either swap that out when regearing, or use a ujoint adapter afterwards.
  13. I chose 4.10s for my 33s because that's the deepest factory ratio in late 70s ford axles and a pair sorta dropped into my lap so the cash savings was large. BUT, if I was to do it all again, I'd skip the heavier axles and go with a dana 30 and an '05+ Liberty 8.25 regeared to 4.56. maybe 4.88. the Liberty axle also has disks but is a couple inches wider than a dana 35 rather than narrower like the 8.8. the better to fill out the MJ's wide butt. explorer axles came in 3.07, 3.31, and 3.55 ratios too. more or less mirroring the various MJ ratios, which is strange but convenient.
  14. car-part.com miiiight be able to find you a dana 30 with 4.10s.
  15. I love it! where did you find them?
  16. all MJ dana 30s are high pinion.
  17. GA has inspections?
  18. it only takes ten to open up the classifieds, so you should be good to go now
  19. never has such a southern thing been spoken.
