  1. Hey Jay - WTF over? Good to hear from ya! Is your place THIS one? https://www.facebook.com/localon17/
  2. Just two threaded holes in the frame where the bump stop and extended aluminum base in this case are bolted to.
  3. The Draw-Tite hitch is just right for the stock step bumper.
  4. The cage looks too small. He belongs in the front with you.
  5. Lower the rear another inch and you'll have a good looking MJ gasser.
  6. Ya, understand you gotta do what you gotta do. But that thing is really butt ugly man. I have a 15 JKU (the wifey's) and she loves it. She needs 4-DR to haul the grand kids around and loves her Wrangler. I showed her a pic of what the JT should look like, and another pic of the new JLU, and it was no contest. She hates the JT more than I do. At least next year we'll have some interesting powertrain choices.
  7. Yes, but it was like you said, "brittle and break". I've yet to find a new one.........
  8. Answers in CAPS YOU ARE MOST LIKELY CORRECT ABOUT THE STALK MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH AS THEY CAN CRACK UP OVER TIME. IF THE STALK IS FLOPPING AROUND IN THERE IT'S PROBABLY BROKEN. I DIDN'T HAVE VARIABLE SPEED WIPERS ON MY TRUCK ORIGINALLY AND ONE OF THE THINGS I HAD TO DO WAS REPLACE THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH. IT'S WAS A BEAR TO DO, AS IT'S BURIED DEEP INSIDE THE COLUMN. I HATE WORKING INSIDE THE STEERING COLUMN. ALSO HERE ARE MANY VARIATIONS OF THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH; W. AND W/O CRUISE, TILT OR NON-TILT, VARIABLE SPEED OR NOT, ETC. SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE IT; IT'S PROBABLY NOT CORRECT ANYHOW.
  9. And I still haven't found that damn grommet...........
  10. Either way, they both look like crap. Two too many doors.
  11. Check this - Cruiser Tip #14: 14. Restoring throttle butterfly adjustment Okay. Let's start from scratch. First off, that's not an idle adjustment screw. It's a throttle butterfly stop screw. It's purpose is to allow the butterfly to be as close to completely closed as it can be without binding or wearing into the throttle body. It was never intended to be adjusted in the field. But, Uncle Bob didn’t know that, did he? Engine off. Back off the butterfly stop screw with a 3/32” allen wrench until the butterfly is completely closed. Now. turn the screw in until the FAINTEST movement of the butterfly opening is detected. This can be done more easily with the throttle body removed. If you remove the throttle body, be sure to replace the gasket underneath it after thoroughly cleaning the old one off. Revised 07/07/2012
  12. You didn't happen to write-up a list of all the AN fittings and lines you used for the AW4 tranny cooler replacement lines you used did you?
  13. Why not swap in some WJ uppers and lowers? They are the same length, have beefier bushings, and are already boxed in. But even if you do, you will still have to replace the UCA axle-end bushings. There are many ways to do this, and none are easy. When I did mine, I used my homemade press.
  14. That rig belongs on Vegas Rat Rods.
  15. Don't go buy one until you test it with an ohmmeter. What is the problem with your wipers?
  16. True for data storage, but do you do your own image hosting?
  17. The motor can drag from stuck wiper linkage, bad bushings, etc. Don't go throwing in a 30A or something fuse in there or you may burn something up. The Jeep wiper breaker is rated at 5.2A, so put in a fuse around that size. Nothing over 10A....
  18. Yes they should. Circuit breakers are often used in circuits supplying startup power to a motor to protect the wiring from high amperage draw. Examples are convertible tops, power windows, etc. If the motor has bad bearings or something else that causes a higher than normal amp draw, eventually the circuit breaker will burn up internally. So sometimes an open circuit breaker is an indicator that there's a problem with the motor it's protecting.
  19. Looks good! But slap some chrome mirrors on at your first opportunity.
  20. Plastic housings?
  21. A Laredo with everything except the full gauge cluster. But that's easily fixable. Gorgeous truck.
  22. What brand fuel pump was installed? I'll bet it was't a Bosch.
  23. This top doesn't fit well at all. Look at the rear cab lines.
