  1. If I did I wouldn't admit it.
  2. Last rear end oil I used was Red Line 58204 Full Synthetic 75W90 oil Fred. I was having some gear whine when making left turns, and the Red Line oil quieted it. Not cheap, but great for all differentials.
  3. I have a NOS Mopar headrest channel if you prefer - $20 shipped. There are two types; one for 86-89 and another for 90-94. Mine is the supposedly "improved" newer type and they interchange.
  4. http://southerninkandthread.com/ Ask for Heather.
  5. I have a bastard mix/match black/gray/chrome interior. Just think it looks better with the basic Laredo upholstery. Kinda breaks up the boredom. Maybe I'm weird.. Kick panels staying put? No idea. I've had them on/off about 50 times.
  6. Excellent idea Wahoo. I just installed a new set last month. A big Bama A in crimson will look great on them. It's all about cosmetics now - everything else is as I want it.
  7. Funny you should mention that Mike. I did think about having the Alabama "A" stitched in.. Maybe I still will.
  8. They did have chrome thread, and I thought about it - hard. But the ladies said the chrome thread wouldn't show up well on the gray tweed. The red matches the side graphic I have nicely.
  9. I been wanting some graphics on my headrests for awhile now, and searched and found several places online that do custom embroidery all over the country. All of them charged at least $75 and up depending on the complexity of the lettering and /or graphics, plus postage back and forth. Then my wife told me about a small shop in town that had recently opened that does custom embroidery and residential upholstery work, so I pulled my headrest covers off went over to see them. All I wanted was just simple text stating Jeep COMANCHE in regulation Moper fonts. They downloaded the fonts from various web sites and came up with suggestions while I was there, and we agreed on a design. Here they are - cost me $45 total. The ladies have a state of the art custom embroidery machine about 7' tall that can take any presized presentation of graphics, colors, and font combinations from a computer. I don't think there is anyone else you can find that can do the quality of their work for less. If anyone is interested in having some custom sewing work done, let me know, and I'll pass along the contact info. And no, I don't get a cut for referrals.
  10. ^^ This. Call the yard directly who says they have what you need and inquire. When I was looking, I found several who listed MJs with D44's. After going to look at a couple and seeing they were D35's, I started asking for pics. If they wouldn't send them, I kept searching. Like Pete says, some yards are helpful, and some could care less.
  11. It might be the balancer, or it might be one of the pulley bearings turned by the belt. Pickup a mechanics stethoscope (below) or use a length of vacuum hose with one end stuck in your ear. You should be able to ID it easily.
  12. OP, your best bet would be to find a bench seat you like HERE then contacting them about shipping to Italy. Some of these places do offer space available container shipping outside the US.
  13. My local driveshaft shop would not guarantee balancing if my 2WD shaft was shortened because of the probable rotten rubber sheath inside. Even if you find a shop that will do it, it's not worth the risk. Recommend having a new one made. Tom Wood does excellent work at reasonable prices. http://www.4xshaft.com/
  14. That's too easy John. Krusty, what are those FCK (missing a letter ??) flush mount things?
  15. I just ignore this crap now. It's just endless canned repetitions of the same tired BS over and over ad nauseaum. Like a broken record....
  16. ^^ This. Eliminate any and all sources of moisture collection in the cab first. Then, if needed, use a quality spray-on insulation on the roof interior, like Lizard Skin or similar. Sooner or later any stick-on batting-type insulation is going to come loose with all the temp swings a vehicle roof goes though.
  17. Not many rust free MJs (or anything else) like that unless they are parked inside all winter for life. Nice score - looks great.
  18. You gonna off-road it?
  19. The AW4 is a separate harness on the HOs and plugs into the engine harness at the transmission tunnel. The manual and auto engine harnesses are different too. Also the 91 and 92 engine harnesses use different firewall connectors.
  20. Rusty's overseas C.R.A.P. supplier made them. They look like what they are - a poorly designed housing encasing a universal light LED fixture that costs $200.
  21. Getting my headrests worked on and forgot to mark them. Which way do the notches on the shafts face; forward or to the rear?
  22. Yeah, the Iron Bowl is the Super Bowl in this state. I have to give full credit to Saban - again. What a ballsy decision to start baby Tua at halftime. Tonight he tied the former Bama God-coach, the Bear, in national championships, and he'll go on to win a lot more now with an even better team coming up, with QB Tua at the helm. None of Saban's former assistants ever beat him when it counts. Just the fact that they make it to the finals shows how much they learned from Saban - an arrogant @$$ at times, but he backs it all up. ROLL Tide......................
  23. Who cares. Holy Crap!! EDIT: Came close to a coronary on this one Wahoo. Glad you were watching. We'll never see another one like this.
