  1. Wow! And that was a Rubicon XJ too. Don't see many of those.......
  2. Pull and check the wiper motor circuit breaker on the fuse block for continuity.
  3. Propane powered?
  4. Download the 88 Electrical manual here: http://www.bteventures.com//mj1988electricalmanual.pdf Look on page 69.
  5. Oval bushing = axle end. But it's been done both ways with no ill effects that I've heard about.
  6. Yes, you have to trim the bushing shaft to fit as most do, or you can open up the LCA bracket. http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoWJcontrolarms.htm
  7. Great background music too. It plays well with the vid.
  8. I used a Dana-Spicer kit when I did my D44. Paid about the same for it as THIS one.
  9. I've had a few MGs and lots of old Volvos. All had Lucas electrics. All Fred said is true, only more so. Just a few: If Lucas invented guns, wars would not start. Lucas is the patent holder for the short circuit. Lucas - Inventor of the first intermittent wiper. Lucas - Inventor of the self-dimming headlamp.
  10. Is your's for a Renix? If so, different potentiometer, so the float config will be a little different.
  11. Wouldn't it be nice if OME made leaf springs for our MJs.
  12. When you change the seal, think about replacing the craptacular stock strap pinion yoke with a stronger u-bolt pinion yoke. You'll probably snap a strap bolt off anyhow removing it.
  13. Yes, those WJ seats look great in there. Your MJ is getting much too nice to wheel.
  14. To answer your question, just about all pre-airbag steering wheels from 70's and 80's GM vehicles with Saginaw columns will work on our MJs since we use the same steering columns. There may be subtle differences with the horn mechanisms, but the parts to make the horn work are all still available. For instance here is a wheel from a 70's Buick Regal Turbo.
  15. Things that suck: Black roof, rear non-bumper, missing lower black stripe on rear bed, MJ on the tailgate. Things that don't suck: White / black color scheme, lower black stripe if complete, white COMANCHE letters on the black body stripe (but should be smaller), Eliminator bed patch. We all would have done things differently, but overall, not too bad at all.
  16. Just for reference, I got a full 2" using that type measurement when I installed mine years ago. Then I added OME 930 front coils to bring up the front end where I wanted. Over the next year the rear springs settled down about an inch, so I had to add a set of extended shackles to get the rear end back up again.
  17. A good HO engine would be fine too. I just don't want to see you go through a whole lot of work and $$ and get burned.
  18. Unless the seller is a trusted friend or a local shop/yard with a good rep, w/o a solid guarantee I'd pass. But that just me. Guaranteed used Jeep 4.0's are not that difficult to find.
  19. OP, have you heard the 92 HO motor run? Do you know How many miles are on it?
  20. Sell it at Barrett-Jackson? It's going on right up the road from you...
  21. Engine coolant temp sender for the dash temp gauge.
  22. I don't know if I like it or hate it. Definitely different ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-Jeep-Comanche/253371296513?hash=item3afe1b2b01:g:~WkAAOSw05taXOTO&vxp=mtr
  23. Sounds completely logical. Thanks!
