  1. I think you could order different power units... I could be mistaken. We have 140 something pieces of equipment, so I could be getting it mixed up with something else. Most of the stuff has a John Deere, but we have some oddballs in the mix also. Rob :dunno:
  2. Hmmm, thought the Vermeer BC1400 chipper had the 122 HP CAT diesel. Just last week the town was trimming my branches out front for the aerial power lines and I was out discussing the engine model with the operators. Always looking at possible diesels.
  3. Looks like a parking lot in Havana.
  4. Marie, here's a pic of the rear LCA and how the shims slide up into the pocket to effectively change the LCA length and correct caster. These shims are available from the dealer. Most alignment shops are clueless regarding caster adjustment on the XJs/MJs, or they don't want to bother.
  5. Going purely by smell, blonds are better than redheads. Ever been to Ireland? Don't know if this applies to the AW4 fluid though.............
  6. Wow. Just wow! How did this tastefully done masterpiece slip under the radar? I love the upholstery, the custom roll pan, the 17" AEV wheels, the cowl hood, and of course the chrome grille. The first three have never been done on an MJ to my knowledge, and are perfect. Even the D44 rear diff cover looks like it's been powder coated to tie into the into the whole monochromatic scheme. It's beautiful; the best MJOTM IMO in a long time. I love everything about it.
  7. When I had drums, I used to use a Dremel tool and rotary stone - very carefully. Easier to control than a big hand drill.
  8. Sure, if you want to hack off the unused 5th relay pin to fit the 4-pin relay socket. Also the aux fan relay is a 40A relay; the other common 5-pin relays used are only 30A.

  10. Lucked out last month and found a complete set of four NOS factory Mopar ball joints for $80 shipped on Ebay. In the factory packaging and all. I don't need them yet, but at that price I grabbed them.
  11. I hate all drum brakes.
  12. Wow! I'd never seen that commercial. Missed most of the 80's stuff that wasn't shown on the AFN. Good stuff!
  13. Thanks. Here's the original thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/17134-mz-rotax-cafe-racer-project/
  14. Sounds like a marriage made in heaven. Heaven Georgia, that is.
  15. I may be one of the few Jim, but I'm a little concerned about you. Since you have graced the CC forum, I've seen shiners in both eyes, groin kicks and bites from your livestock, fisticuff results from your many girlfriends, assorted Jeep parts falling on your head, and other varieties of personal carnage you have endured. And these are only the ones you tell us about; I'm sure there have other minor incidents you deemed not worth reporting. So seriously, I'm asking you bro, TRY to do things more carefully. I'm not asking you to slow down, that would be pointless. Just be a little bit more deliberate when you're bumping around under one of your Jeep herd members that needs some love. I for one, and I'm sure I speak for everyone here, never want to hear about any serious damage to you. Si?
  16. Yes, I went back to 86 parts catalog and they did have the manual breakaway mirrors available, black or chrome. Didn't find them in the newer models though. So UB correct Alex.
  17. The manual mirrors were fixed. The remote and power mirrors had the break-away hinge.
  18. The rear master cylinder bowl (the larger one) is for the front brakes.
  19. I did fab up a set of those diamond plate sills quite awhile ago, but didn't like them. They seemed out of place, and I sold them on Ebay. Then I modded some ZJ stainless door sill plates. They looked good, but were stamped "Grand Cherokee", so got rid of them too. Went back to the originals and one of these days will make a set using brushed stainless w/o lettering. Not hi-pri on the bucket list though.
  20. It's a bit over the top - quite a bit. These are better, but not by much. Good for hiding rust though..........
  21. Found this on the web. Can't say I care for it too much........... Seats look good though.
  22. What is that place? An abandoned cheese factory? Just curious. Looks like a good place to take pics.
  23. Are you serious? Contemplating a V8 swap and you don't know what transmission you have? Suggest you do some homework.
  24. The 91 and up booster itself was single diaphragm true, same as the earlier boosters. But the booster arm used was the same as the 95-96 dual diaphragm boosters. Which is why the 95-96 booster is a direct swap (with the spacer plate). Most of the oddities unique to the 91s were electrical, not mechanical, such as the one-of-a-kind firewall harness plug.
  25. So what? No 95/96 booster mods required using the 91 and up pedal assembly.
