  1. Most all quality electromechanical automotive relays have an internal wiring diagram printed on the case always showing the relay in a de-energized state. Thus pins 30 & 87a are the normally closed (NC) load contact applications, 30 & 87 are the normally open (NO) load contacts. Pins 85 & 86 are the relay coil pins, one tied to 12VDC (normally pin 85) and the other to ground. Applying either a 12VDC or ground signal to the respective coil pin energizes the relay and the load contacts change state. These assigned pin numbers are universally applied to all common 30A and 40A automotive relays.
  2. YJ Slip Yoke GM Long Slip Yoke (Ebay)
  3. The YJ slip yoke is 5/8" longer, that's all. But maybe that's enough for you. There are much longer yokes available if not.
  4. All of those are available in 'Bama, but I ordered REDSOCK. Been waiting for that one for a long time. My second choice was BEAT NY. RED SOX was taken. I'm a Red Sox fan if ya didn't know. Came in forth in the The 15 Best Boston Red Sox License Pates Of All Time. I didn't even know it until someone sent me an email - I guess they picked my plate up on the internet somewhere. http://theawesomeboston.com/the-15-best-boston-red-sox-license-pates-of-all-time/

  6. BTW, I tried your booster test, had never done it before. All went as it should. Thanks for posting that.
  7. Jesus. I can't take any more. Out of here..................
  8. And exactly where is this what looks like a giant white relay located? under the dash above the break pedal, Redwolf Look like the below? That's your high beam switch, not a relay.
  9. The Standard DS572 wiper switch is for tilt columns. You need the DS570 switch (non-tilt w. intermittent wipers). http://www.carpartsdiscount.com/auto/parts/91/jeep/comanche/switches_sensors_and_senders/windshield_wiper_switch.html?3593=331316
  10. And exactly where is this what looks like a giant white relay located?
  11. There is no headlight relay, no low beam relay, or no high beam relay in any factory MJ/XJ unless it's been modified. The headlights are turned OFF/ON directly through the dash switch, and transition from LO to HI beam is directly through the column stalk / multifunction switch. Period. Download a factory electrical manual and study it.
  12. It sounds like the multifunction switch inside the column has bad or intermittent contacts. Pretty common. I replaced mine when I installed intermittent wipers - was not fun. You can get them here depending on your steering column type. http://thejeep.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=WIPER+SWITCH&osCsid=006ec82c2329210b12901e4a9d5a397b&x=8&y=8
  13. Yes, those Wagner calipers are correct for your application. I have them on my 91, bought them new, not rebuilt, from O'Reillys when they were phasing out some of the Wagner products. They came with new pins, but not the anti-rattle clips for the pads. Check out this thread too: http://comancheclub.com/topic/33716-anti-rattle-clips/?hl=brake+squeal&do=findComment&comment=339049
  14. That build is absolute perfection. Marcus (Gojeep) is an Aussie (as you can tell in his narration) and has forgotten more about Jeeps than I'll ever know. He has an excellent site here: http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/ I asked him why this project, and he said he has run out of mods for his XJ and wanted to do something different. I love the way he restored bits and pieces from both the Willys and Grand and incorporated them into this build. I offered to swap trucks when he was finished, and I'd even pay the freight for both vehicles, but he politely declined.
  15. Based on your posts I think you are a stand-up guy. I learned the hard lesson buying re-manufactured / rebuilt products and there is a remote possibility it could have had a busted diaphragm. But you did mod it, turned the push rod, so who knows, you might have ruptured it. I used 95/96 XJ booster and MC for mine, and it was a simple bolt in. The point is trying to conceal it for a refund. Then another member endorsing it. That's all.
  16. I've been screwing around with Goodyear Wrangler tires since the mid 80s Eagle. Most all were AAFES tires since I was overseas someplace back then. Many new sets, different vehicles, and always had balancing problems. I've even had them "trued" by spinning them while shaving them round, taking off high spots. That worked for awhile, then after a few thousand miles later they would be out of round and vibing again. I gave up on them around 2002 after a new set for my last 01 XJ did the same. So no more for me. Just me experiences, I'm not a masochist, so IB done with them.
  17. I think you bought a good reman booster from Autozone (they are fully tested of course during quality control), performed an intentional modification to fit an application it was not intended for, screwed it up, and now you are trying to defraud the seller by concealing your modification. Then someone tells you the best way to conceal it and cheat the seller. Nuff said.
  18. To redwolf: I'd like to see more wiring detail pics, in the daytime. I don't think you have any relays or even a switch wired in yet, just a hot wire to the battery. Also the lamps look crooked on your bumper................
  19. Yes, a good deal. But I've never had a Goodyear Wrangler tire that wasn't square. If you're lucky enough to find a set that can be balanced, 2K miles later they are out of balance. I am NOT trying to start a tire fight, but I've had nothing but problems with them for many years. Swap them out for a comparable Firestone or Michelin (more expensive yes but last twice as long), no more tire problems. If someone gave me a set of Goodyears I wouldn't spend the $$ to mount them. They used to be decent tires, but never again for me...............

  21. And here is exactly the way you should built it: http://www.nagca.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43454
  22. Interesting - didn't know that. I assume this applies to Renix only, and not the early HOs? Both distributors use the same drive gear.
  23. 225/75-15 (and later 235/75-15) tires were original equipment on some XJ/MJ models and both will fit all our unlifted trucks just fine. They are slightly wider than the 195, 205 and 215 tires.
