  1. When did you mount the washer tank inside the fender? Looks great.
  2. Looks like TNCave (Renix) started this thread then Rohls (92 HO) stole it. The below is directed to Rohls: Your A/C will not turn on if it's low on freon because it can't build pressure to trigger the low pressure switch. When triggered this switch supplies the ground signal to the aux fan relay coil which turns on the fan. W/o the ground signal - no aux fan operation. Yes.
  3. http://comancheclub.com/topic/41000-2000-up-xj-cherokee-heat-soak-issues/?hl=heat+soak&do=findComment&comment=414170 I had hard starting a couple of times after the 01 intake install. I put one of these debris shields on and haven't had it since.
  4. So who bought this visor? Anyone here?
  5. This topic has come up before: http://comancheclub.com/topic/39612-xj-to-mj-cross-member-problem/?hl=crossmember
  6. If you located the aux fan relay you know it's in the PDC (Power Distribution Center) on the right side engine compartment. The relays in there are all the same, so swap out the aux fan relay to test. Does your 92 have A/C? If so, turn it on and the aux fan will run if all is well. The only other way the aux fan will run w/o the A/C running is if the coolant temperature reaches ~230* or so to prevent overheating.
  7. According to the parts manual, the only difference in the MJ/XJ crossmembers is for the auto vs. manual transmissions. The manual crossmember is bent a bit deeper for more exhaust pipe clearance. There is no difference between 2WD vs. 4WD, 2.5 vs. 4.0 vs. 2.1, etc.
  8. Before you start criticizing too much it might have been more prudent to read his original intentions and goals and wait awhile to see what happens.
  9. Thanks Hornbrod...... Well believe it or not I was an Operations Specialist and spent 20 years in a dark room looking at radars and working with weapons systems.... The Harpoon Missile was my specialty. OS = haze gray and always underway. I was an FT on diesel boats (yes, I'm old) then went surface and worked on Terrier / Tartar and Standard missile systems. Also underway most of the time.
  10. You had to be a snipe of some flavor in the Navy, maybe a Machinist's Mate or even a Hull Maintenance Tech? Otherwise where would you get the fab skills to built a rig like that. Surely not in the Yeomans shack. I follow your build thread and am always impressed by the innovation on your rig, especially the cage. Congrats on MJOTM, very well deserved Chief.
  11. Get a set of stock leaf springs from either Hell Creek or National Spring (both offer CC membership discounts) and install them. Since it's sounds like your original rear springs are shot, you will get some lift out back, unpredictable until installed. Then match up the front as needed for the stance you want using Up Country or ZJ coil springs or use spacers with your existing coils.
  12. About the same $$ for non-ethanol here. I run it in my carbed stuff since ethanol and whatever other "junk additives" are in it ruins diaphragms pretty quick. I don't think it's worth the extra coin for constant use in injected vehicles since I can't remember anything that failed due to additives except for the occasional o-ring.
  13. The computer must match the harness and sensors. Therefore swapping the HO computer for the Renix computer will also require swapping the entire underhood harness, using all the Renix sensors, then figuring out how to mate the Renix harness with the 91 HO body harnesses. Tough job. BUT, you could also use the existing Renix flexplate with this configuration. To me that would be taking a step backward and counterproductive. I'd use the 88 Renix block with the HO sensors, HO head, HO throttle body, and HO flex plate.
  14. As before, if using your 91 Chrysler electronics system, including the 3-wire 91 CPS it has to have, you will need to swap out your 88 Renix flexplate with a 91 and up HO flexplate. The 91 HO Chrysler CPS will not read the Renix flexplate pulse ring. You will also need the HO engine harness, HO sensors, throttle body, and distributor installed to feed the HO computer.
  15. Does the 88 engine have a 91 and up HO flywheel / flexplate (you didn't say if it was an auto or stick)? If not, it still will not run with a new HO CPS.
  16. In the 8th now. Like Yogi says "It ain't over till it's over". But I've seen way too much Bumgarner in this Serious, and the Panda too.
  17. Here's what I did Fred: Image Not Found http://comancheclub.com/topic/36705-fuel-pump-ballast-resistor-upgrade/?hl=ballast
  18. "Tissue box holders"? Comanches don't need no stinkin' tissues!" Sorry - had to do it.
  19. Which pump did you buy and exchange? Mfg and p/n? Might help others to avoid.
  20. Maybe, maybe not. It's not true with the HO open cooling system, but since the OP does not state WTH he is driving - :dunno: People, please edit your signature to detail the year, model, and engine of what vehicle you are referring to. EDIT: Thanks OP.
  21. It's back on Craigslist too: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/4732420701.html

    Rusted Out MJ

I think Stageway was the company that built it, Click HERE.
  23. Nope, they are ordinary 1/4x20 hex head flanged bolts. I replaced all mine with stainless Allen head cap screws with a stainless flat and lock washer on each. Help prevent loosening up and looks better too.
