I was looking at Line-X but the $600 quote that I got was hard to swallow. So far I have nothing back there and the bed floor is pretty beat up from stuff sliding around. Thanks for the review.

Got New Front Axle, What Parts Do I Need?
Blue XJ replied to Dadinator's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Driveshaft ujoint will be the same. It should bolt right in if you use all the parts off the new one. If I'm not mistaken (which I could be) there is a different in the brakes between your 90 and the 99. The parts are the same, but I think the offset of the rotor is different so you'd have to use a rotor and wheel bearing off the same vehicle. -
Raptor liner is the DIY spray on stuff? I was looking at using it on my daily driver, my bed is taking a good beating. You'd recommend it?
-
Sorry for the bad info, I was way off. I didn't remember any bolts when I took my bed off.

There are no bolts, the bottom of the bed has studs in it, I believe they are 3/8"

90' Comanche Heater/blower Motor Problems ????
Blue XJ replied to mjaddict90's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
A new one should cost you about $12. I'd go that route instead of buying another used one. There is an A/C version and non A/C version (at least there was for my 90), the connector looked a little different, so make sure to get the correct one. -
Picking Up Ax15 - What Else?
Blue XJ replied to 87MJTIM's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I used to have a Blue XJ, a 90 in fact. I have the running gear from it in my MJ right now. I must have misread your post, I thought you were swapping parts from different years and missed that the 90 was also an AX15. You should be all set, any year AX15 should have the 23 spline output. The different year AX15's will have different sized input shafts, so depending on which one you use, will determine which pilot bearing you'll need. I'd probably grab the crossmember and the front driveshaft as well, since they could be different lengths than the BA10 you currently have. -
Picking Up Ax15 - What Else?
Blue XJ replied to 87MJTIM's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I know you said not to mention it, but the tcase in your 90 is more than likely a 21 spline input whereas your new ax15 has a 23 spline output , so you will either need a new tcase or at least the input gear. I'm doing the same thing now, taking my AW4 out of my 90 and installing an AX15 from a 98. -
On Board Air Systems....?
Blue XJ replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That's more or less what mine is. I get mine filled at a welding shop. I usually just do an exchange bottle, that way I don't have to work about tank certs. I am able to fill all 4 of my 35x12.5's from 5-35psi about 5 or 6 times per tank. -
On Board Air Systems....?
Blue XJ replied to ComancheKid45's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I also use a CO2 tank, I bought a 20lb setup from Ultimate Air before they went under. I have also converted my AC compressor to an on board air setup too. I have a couple air chucks mounted and a small tank underneath, both setups work good, but the CO2 is portable and the Jeep doesn't have to be running to use it. -
Floor Pans…..a Couple Of Forgotten Welding Tricks….
Blue XJ replied to yxmj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've also used the copper on the show surface and welded from the back side. When you remove the spoon the weld should be nice and smooth, very minimal finishing needed. -

I have my cb mounted to the back wall of the cab between the seats. The antenna is mounted to the roll bar.

I think I had 2 15mm sockets in my frame rail at some point, I know I have gotten one of them out, the other still resides inside.

I put a Leupold on top of my rifle, really nice piece of glass. The thing I like the best is it is calibrated to the ammo that I shoot. No more counting clicks when changing distances, just set it to the distance you want and fire away.

Shock Absorber Upgrade Advise Please
Blue XJ replied to kazam's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You would have to measure for the correct length, but for brand I run Bilstein 5150's in the front and 5125's in the rear and am completely satisfied with thier ride. -

Bent My Dana 30 Looking For Axle Swap Options
Blue XJ replied to Zebvance's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
What bushings do the balljoints go into on a D30? They press right into the knuckle. -
I just picked up a Dana 30 with 4.10's complete with brakes for $125. Unfortunately there isn't much value in a 30. Years ago I picked one up regeared to 4.56 with an ARB, warn hub conversion kit and warn chromolly shafts (about $4500 in parts) for $750 because he couldn't sell it for months.

Most of my ordered already showed up, next day, not bad at all.

Just ordered from them today, excellent prices and they even have the small hard to find parts nobody else has.

Where abouts in St Clair Shores are you from? I grew up by 12 mile and Harper, where that newer St Johns building is. Now I'm in Sterling Heights. Good luck with your trip.
