I ordered a GDI 3 core about 10 years ago. They actually sent me a CSF 3 core instead, it's been a decade and it's still going strong. Barely gets over 200 degrees on the guage. Go with a quality one, it's not a place to cheap out on.

What 'upgrade' Fuel Injectors Do I Purchase? '92 4.0L
Blue XJ replied to Rohls's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You used these 39# injectors designed for the 98 and below log-type intake manifold in your 2000 XJ w. the "horseshoe" intake and 49# of regulated injector pressure? And all is well? x2 I would think there is a noticeable difference, but a negative one, not a positive one. -
At What Point Do You Rebuild Or Replace?
Blue XJ replied to banshee's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have no idea what the point of this thread is. Cool story? -

Thanks! I'll look around, I know I had the angles and measurements written down at one point. -
Renix Coolant Hoses Replacement
Blue XJ replied to wadeM's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Why not just go to the parts store and ask for the replacement hoses for your year vehicle? It's always worked for me in the past. -
x2 About 5 years ago I think is the time frame I have heard. I have a red top in my hot rod, it sits 99% of the time, hooked up in the vehicle and it's never given me an issue, but its probably 10+ years old.

I don't know all the ratios available, but my 8 3/4" has 3.92 gears in it, which would be hard to find for a stock Jeep front axle.

I'll agree to what you say. I have a 4 piece, it can be a little tricky to open and close, but its the only option I had.

33S Or 35S? Your Input Appreciated.
Blue XJ replied to mountainman's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'd vote 33's, but thats a LOT of lift for 33's. May as well go 35's since they'll fit. -
Rubicon Monotube / Bump Stopper Question
Blue XJ replied to Bigsarge173's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
As in the hockey pucks? Any sporting good store would have them, just drill a hole in the middle and bolt them down. As far as body lift blocks, any offroad shop should have them. The one by me charged me $5 each for 3" body lift blocks to use as bumpstops. -
Back when I built mine I went with the Rock Krawler XJ long arm kit. I only needed the arms, since I was alreayd running a short arm lift, back then, it was a pretty decent price for the arms, not sure what their complete kit costs now though, seems lifts have really gone up in price in the last 5-10 years.

Rubicon Monotube / Bump Stopper Question
Blue XJ replied to Bigsarge173's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You can get extended bumpstops that replace the stock ones, I think they are an inch or so longer. Another option is getting a body lift block (or hockey pucks) and bolting it down to the spring perch on the axle, just figure out what length you would need. I went with both on mine to get the correct amount of up travel -
Installing Novak Cable Shifter On A Np242
Blue XJ replied to Blue88Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
Nice write up. I just installed one for my 231 with an AX-15. I had to modify the bracket to get it to attach to the AX-15, there wasn't enough clearance to fit over some casting on the trans.- 12 replies

There sure are a lot of them, but I thought it was a clean way to control everything I have added. The only one I could get rid of would be the interior light one, but I didn't want to pull a fuse when I ran without doors. The ones in front of the shifter are for the following Spool In / Spool Out for Winch Interior Lights Fog Lights Rear Cargo / Bed Lights On Board Air Compressor Power / Safety For Winch The ones in the old ashtray position are Front ARB ARB Compressor Rear ARB -
x2 I just took mine in and out a few times for the trans swap I am doing. Trans jack for the transmission. I put the t-case on my chest while I'm on the creeper, then just lift it in place.

Its a 3 link setup on the front. Only one upper, the upper is actually longer than the lowers, it gives tons of suspension travel. The little RC one wheels pretty good too, I saw the body for it at a hobby shop and had to pick it up. I have one that matches my old Blue XJ as well. Thanks for picking me, I'm honored to be the featured rig this month! I just looked at my build thread, it's been a while since I've updated it, but I haven't really done anything to it in the last few years. It has on board air now, and some parts have been replaced, but thats about it. -
I think I have a solid one in the attic if you need one. I'm not really local and I don't know what it takes to ship glass. But if your not in a hurry I'm sure we could work something out.

You nailed it, the wife was holding a treat to get the dog to look and the son wanted to see what was going on.

I came across this online as well. Its a mount for the 50 cal cans. I think I am going to copy the design and make my own for my 20mm cans. A couple footman loops and a ratchet strap per can and they should be nice and secure. http://www.armysurpluswarehouse.com/ammo-cans-storage-containers/50-cal-ammo-can-holder.html

Those look to be the same size as my 20mm boxes.

Yeah, sorry I couldn't help with that, I just figured I'd chime in and say you can get a good ride out of quality leaf springs as long as you are using quality shocks. I am running a Rock Krawler 3 link kit for a Cherokee on mine, it installed with no issues, however it is considerably different than the Rusty's kit.
