Non responseve seller

I always like to recommend exercising caution in situations like this. There's always a chance the guy's in the hospital or some other extenuating circumstances.

And I like to exchange phone numbers before sending parts/money. Email is so unreliable.

:hateputers:

Pete, you'll never get anywhere in this life. You're too honest and too trusting. If the guy was healthy enough to acknowledge receipt of payment, he should be healthy enough to stick a part in a box and get it to the post office or UPS Store.

E-mail certainly can be unreliable, but isn't it coincidental when somebody's e-mail works 100% right up until they have your money -- and then suddenly it "doesn't work"? That dawg don't hunt.

I have sold / traded a lot of parts here with other members, But my policy is, you don't sent the $$ until you receive the parts, and there the correct parts.

I don't sell alot of stuff. But when/if I do, the onus is on me as the seller. I ship the part(s), and once the buyer receives them and is satsified with them, the money exchanges. If not, the buyer can send the stuff back, no harm done.....

Call me old school too, but that's how I do business.

Ya but what if the person recieving the parts takes them and don't send the money , thats the same thing as recieving payment and not sending the parts, i gues u just gota take the chance.

OK, fine. Sorry guys, I JUST GOT BACK from Mars and will get JohnQ's and highdesserts ghey PORN videos out as soon as possible.

J/K :D

Anyway, this post is now getting long and boring so let's just drop it until the OP decides what to do. Either the guy (or girl because we have like 3 girls in the club) is busy, sick, dead, a deadbeat ripoff artist, thief, or maybe his internet connection just got cut off because he didn't pay the bill. Anyway highdessert. Just post who it is because if something happened to the poor guy maybe someone here knows him and can help both of you in this situation.

Just my .02

PS Sorry if I offended anyone who is ghey.

Come on, no one here herd about PayPal?

It's all secured, both parties know when the money sent as well seller must provide prof of shipping otherwise buyer will get his money back. All those troubles for nothing.

Bad thing about paypal is they want their cut... when your a buyer thats all good, but when your a seller, it suck having that chunk taking out. esp when its a large amount.

Just add it to the price, it's common.

If you read and understood the fine print about PayPal, you would never use PayPal. They can reach right into YOUR bank account and take money out. All it takes is for a buyer to claim you didn't advertise something accurately, or didn't ship the item(s). Thanks, but no thanks.

I won't use them for a variety of reasons. If I were to have a moment of temporary insanity and sign up, the first thing I would do is open a separate account at a bank I have never done any business with, put the bare minimum $50 or $100 in the account, and use that for the PayPal account.

Yes, PayPal will screw you when they can. I got a engine using PayPal and used my Credit Card. The buyer got the money pulled it out of PayPal and closed his bank account. All PayPal did was say yes I was in the right but that he closed his account and I was out the $$$. I reported the loss to the Credit Card Co and they pulled the $350 back from PP and took it off my account. Then Pay PalP got mad at me as they took the $350 hit. If I would have used my checking or debt card I would have been the one out the $350. So better use a credit Card when using PayPal

It's about time the name is called out. Now we can see that this person is a scammer and others will avoid him.

PaPal is a great service. I have literally thousands of transactions with PayPal over the last 6 years 7 months 16 days ;) . I have only had 2 issues in that time and PayPal was very helpful in getting them resolved.

When you get someone that knows the system PayPal will not be a lot of help. The guy that took me for the $350 took 5 other guys for total of $1,200. The other guys were out the $$$ unless the bad guy ever put funds back into his PP account. The local police was even less help then PayPal, they wanted me to fill out the report in person

Now that I think about it, that guy was from IA, Going to see if I can find his name..

X2. I've been using Paypal since Nov 2000 and have never had a problem. Sure you get non or late paying bidders, but after reporting them to Paypal they eventually pay up or Paypal covers the $$ after a wait period. I use a low balance credit card for nothing but Paypal, so if someone ever does try to rip me off they won't get much. :D

He's just a really bad seller.

He can't be all that bad if he wrote "PS I love the drab olive on your MJ. Reminds me of my first MJ." nutkick.gif :rotf:

I don't remember having to give all my banking information when I signed up for Paypal? Am I mistaken, or can you just use a credit card? - Rich

When did you sign up with them?

They use your bank information for "verification purposes".

Since all that's going on is ripping the poor guy a new one without actually knowing what's currently going on, I'm locking this topic for the time being. If anyone learns of anything new, feel free to PM me or better yet, PM Eagle and we'll go from there.
