  1. I agree, the compass and the compass have got to go. :D
  2. It took 6 cans of Krylon OD Green to cover all the blue on the outside of my MJ evenly. I used another 3 cans or so to do the interior metals, door jambs, and engine bay.
  3. I'm just going to scrap the factory carb and run this one on the edelbrock intake: http://www.quadratec.com/products/51318_107.htm Seems like a better option than spending money to rebuild the factory one. A local guy here put one on his XJ and it runs awesome according to him.
  4. Been looking at the edelbrock intakes, and it doesn't look like they have a 4bbl top that will accept EGRs? So, if I want emmiossions legal I have to stay 2bbl, right?
  5. It depends. In VA they do a visual check for all factory installed emissions components, then run it on a dyno. BTW, mine was failing miserably with a bad EGR. I'd be suprised if one could pass without one.
  6. 06 Mustang GT 8psi 431rwhp/390tq Lots & Lots & Lots of Mods.
  7. I did it in mine, but not the JC Whitney one. It looks nice and very tough, but it was a PITA - definately a 2 person job. This stuff is heavy and stiff. It takes a lot of yanking and wrestling to get it in place.
  8. 3500 or so. Probably got closer to $4k in it. Not looking to sell, but if somebody came up with cash, I'd probably take it.
  9. I finished welding it up yesterday and reinstalling the splash guards. I looked long and hard at trimming the flares and fenders. It looks easy to do, but the pics I've seen of people who trimmed theirs in the front makes it look kinda funny to me. The lines in the front don't seem to match the lines in the back. I dunno. maybe. lol
  10. yeah, homeowners' association nazis
  11. I will have to disagree with you. My truck looked like @$$ before. It has come a long way and looks good to me, but my neighbors might not agree. I'm still waiting for the HOA complaints to come in. It's amazing what a few cans of spray paint can do.
  12. Here's the big, bad winch bumper I bought on Ebay. No idea what brand, but it's damned stout! 90lbs. Image Not Found
  13. My ax5 slave is external. High up on the passenger side.
  14. Nothing happened to him around the 22nd of January. He shipped my box to me on the 31st - See the thread I linked. He's just a really bad seller.
  15. I knew it. Read this thread: http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7225 Same guy.
  16.
  17. Nice ideas guys, I'll definately be looking into some apholstry shops.
  18. Thanks, mine's already blue, and I'm looking to make it black!
  19. that is, unless the doomaflatchie starts leaking...
  20. So cool! That's in my old hometown too.
  21. I only saw one on the back of mine.
  22. What could be better than -49 weather?
  23. Agree with above. It either needs to be bled again because of air in the system, has a bad slave cylinder, or is leaking somewhere along the line. I would check for any leaks first, if none are found, bleed the system, and if that doesn't help, replace the slave cylinder.
  24. I'm having the same problem on my 86 V6. I got the temp sender listed for the 2.8V6 w/guage at advance auto. It was way too small to fir the hole, so I found an adapter, screwed it into the head, fabbed up the wiring because the connector was different, and the guage will only move about 1/16" off of cold when it warms up. I know the guage works because it pegs when the wire to the sender is grounded out. I'd really like to get the 100% correct answer on where to get this part. I tried the part numbers some of the guys here gave me and only got confused looks from the parts dude. Is this something I can still get at a dealer?
  25. I just removed the 2 retaining srews on the back of both speedos and swapped them out. It was much easier, you don't have to worry about finding the "right" one, and your mileage will be correct.
