Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. I don't have any pictures and I haven't gotton it yet. If I don't get it, it will probably be on craigslist lansing mi board. Additionaly I have a set of ACOS new still in box and pass fender new. If I don't get the truck I'll be putting them up for sale.
  2. the bigest problem is the bed. truck itself is solid 36k on motor 60k on axles 104k on tranny/tc. we'll se how long it last.
  3. I traded MJ away last summer to my daughters boy friend. He had plans of fixing it up but things have changed for him and he wants to sell it. I,m thinking of giving him 500 for it. It seems to me that whenever someone tries to restore this truck something gets in the way (long story). So If I do get it back I'm not going to try and fix it up. I'm going to wheel the hell out of it. Fix what needs fixing till its to costly to fix
  4. I was just going to put a seat between the rails for my wife and she can do hand signals. she got plenty of gas so a tank won't be needed. wheel hop I would be lucky to get wheel spin on ice. I had to buy acos to compensate the pass side drop. but she is supper sweet.
  5. I didn't know if the box was part of the structural strenth of the uni frame.
  6. If I take the bed off, would I still be able to drive my mj. we gave the blazer to my daughter so I don't have any thing to drive while I fix the bed.
  7. just nice to have so many people here to help out. thanks everyone
  8. I have a doo hicky running down the thing-a-ma-jig. I'm not sure but I think the hootin peckers broke. what should I do.
  9. having the same prob with mine. didn't know about the ball up front that could be an easy fix. I thought Iwas going to have to take the dash apart.
  10. everything went really smooth. only problem is the radiator I got has a male fitting for the trans cooler and my trans cooler line also has a male fitting. It looks like I could just take the fitting off the radiator, but I don't know whether our not I can do that. I'm going to look into a new line also. Any help on that. please. this has also delayed the start of my project thread.
  11. I,m replacing my radiator tonite any tips on making it easy. I will probably be started buy 7pm. no need to post reply after that. thanks trent
  12. my truck has mirrors like your dads was it an option or after market. if it was an option what else came with
  13. I've had the acos for 3 months. My house cought fire just before halloween. we got back into the house a couple weeks ago. haven't had time to install them yet. my garage is full of stuff that was damaged in the fire and was told not to throw anything away untill the insurance is settled. I have to replace the head gasket in my blazer, so I can park the jeep. which is being held up because of the garage . I'm going to start my project thread sunday with my plans for the rebuild and pics
  14. I'm trying to fig out my game plan for the rebuild. I think I'm going to keep it simple. Reuse the susp I have and add the acos to level it out. If it was easy to get more lift I would. plus after all is said I can add the lift later. Its looking like I'm going with fiber glass 3" baja bed sides and fenders so more lift won't be needed.
  15. I was thinking it used stock hiegth rear springs. Let me rephrase that so it makes sence. If I got a 4.5 for the front and used the acos to level the front would I have trouble with the additional lift due to the acos.
