jeeptruck636 Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Someone on here needs to get that. @neohic. It’s nice to be able to see nice photos of that truck.

87 MJ Chief Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 I think I just found @Pete M's Colorado Red flares he's been looking for. lol
Eagle Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 Dang -- it's in MY state! And I need a new boiler and a new roof on the hovel. Timing couldn't be worse. I would SOOOOOO love to have that.
ComancheKid45 Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 I'm out of room in the garage, but this would look soooooo sweet next to the Walker truck 🤪
neohic Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Has anyone else kept an eye on this all week also? I haven’t closed the window since the auction started and it’s getting down to the end. Just got to $7k… long way from where I think it should be.
Pete M Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 the land speed record MJ only sold for 8k or so, but that was many years ago.
gogmorgo Posted May 14, 2022 Author Posted May 14, 2022 It's definitely been making me think twice about never being able to afford it. It's surprising considering what used car prices are right now, but I guess the auction isn't over yet.
neohic Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Sold for $15k. Hopefully that’ll calm down the used market for somewhat low mileage trucks in similar condition. Well bought, I think.

89 MJ Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 For what it really is, I honestly think that was a fair buy. The truck would be hard to use as a truck anymore and wouldn’t be a terribly quick rig around a track, so it isn’t terribly useable. I think it would be an absolute blast to drive at an auto cross style event, but I don’t think it would be really useable for much else. It does have the fact that it is a part of Jeep racing history going for it though, and if I would’ve had the money, I would have bought it.
87Warrior Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Somebody got an awesome truck for a fair price. I hope we can follow it as it gets back on the track!
pizzaman09 Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Race cars don't really sell very well as people want vehicles that can be used on the street typically. I'm a fairly active BaT user, I was actually the first person to auction a Comanche on the site. Consistently, the more modified from stock a vehicle is, the less it is typically worth. I think this one sold pretty well, definitely would have considered it if I wasn't working on building a house. I really want to autocross my Comanche, this would have been the perfect one for that.
JeepSchmidt O'Guinness Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 15k huh; Anybody else catch that the rims on the rear weren't period correct?

dasbulliwagen Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Someone should download all those pictures to the site before the ad listing expires. As said, those are a great resource for a replica or tribute vehicle build. I was really suprised by the rear mono leaf setup, The billet rear sway bar mounts, and what appears to be a mostly stock TBI 2.5. Love it.
fiatslug87 Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 It is in the registry with some of the pictures but not all 200 of them.
