Found this on an XJ in Kansas City.  Guess it stayed local all it's life.

On my 91 that I bought in Maryland.

I found this tailgate a while ago and had it stashed away in the shed. “Found” it again recently. Made its way all the way across the country. Currently in Western Washington 

Finally found the right angle today to be able to read what the sticker said

I actually worked for that dealership for 4 years before they were bought by the current owners. I stayed on with the current owners until 2019, being the very last carryover person from the old dealership. The sales manager for Classy's truck currently works at the Chevy dealership I now work at, and his signature can been seen in the paperwork from the trucks original sale.

Looked through 4 pages of dealer badges and was getting excited to add a new one to the collection...only to get to page 5 and see this one had been posted a few months back. I figured I'd boost the collection anyway!

 

We started the 250 mile round trip to bring it home, not realizing we were bringing it back to within a few miles of what I'm guessing to be its original sales point.

 

I remember the dealership from living in the area when I was younger, but it hasn't been there for years.

I'm surprised mine doesn't have one.  It was owned by the original selling dealer for 15 years.  Then they sold it to a previous employee that had his own corner car lot of which I purchased from.  

Must be because they had just had it painted, they were kind enough to provide me the original 4.0Litre badge.
