Tough call.  I'd lean towards metric just because it's easier to keep the numbers straight in your head.  Dealing with fractions in your head takes a few extra seconds each time.

 

But honestly I'd be happy with either so long as every fastener was the same standard.  Mixed SAE and metric on the same vehicle is a pain.

 

Waffles or french toast?

This is the truth. Throw some torx in there and you’re in for a real fun time. 

 

Gotta go with French toast.
