It was ROUGH. gutted the entire thing within the first weeks. Swapped in half a honey interior, then almond this past summer. Did a soft rebuild and refresh of the motor enough to make it a reliable daily. Swapped in a 8.25, then a ax5. drove till this spring while buying v8 swap parts. Spring of Rona 2020 swapped the v8 and got it running and driving in 2 months. Honestly covid was great for this because all I could do was work on the truck. within 1 year of owning it, it was lowered, freshened up and v8 swapped. Best MJ story- Last summer I took the truck in stock form to the Roadkill Nights event in Pontiac Michigan. 700 miles one way trip. It screamed at 4 grand at 80mph the whole time. I entered the truck in the car show portion of the event with my buddies 2018 gt350. Out of all these amazing cars I could barely get away from the jeep because people kept talking to me about it. Even met someone from this site. The show offered a free dyno session on a mobile unit and my buddy talked me into doing it. All these insane cars making 500+hp and I roll up with people crowding around asking what i have in it. Get up on the dyno and the guy about died laughing when I said it has a 200,000 mile 4 banger. With a crowd of about 75 people I pushed it to 5 grand and it made a whopping 89 HP. Honestly more than anyone thought. I was shocked. Second run I tried for 90 but shredded the belt. Sounded like the bottom end exploded at first. Drove it back to my spot and got high fives all the way back. Then had to go buy another belt and fixed it in the show. That was the only issue that whole trip. And then the clutch master exploded in the driveway the moment i got home... CC is Awesome! Why? The whole community aspect of this site is amazing. I have been helped so many times from people here and met so many cool people from selling and buying stuff. The wealth of knowledge on this site is incredible. Other forums i've been apart of don't even compare to the friendliness and help i've gotten on here. Congrats @70barracuda!!
