Price aside.... (JCR Manche Roof Rack)

Recommended Posts

That's a little too bro'truckin' for me.

Oh yeah, anything with a company logo laser cut into it is automatically on my "Will not buy" list.  If they read this.  Yes, that can limit what is available for parts, but I paid YOU for the part, so unless you're going to pay ME for the advertising, you can keep your gotdam logo off it.

I like the looks of it but what would you put up there? It's just clamped on to the mj.

I know you said forget the price, for $650 there's so many other useless things you could buy!
If I could bend tubing I'd make one just to do it.
It's different.
If this Comanche with the roof rack was a person, this is how I'd imagine it...633c14959ebc65257214819b9aaeba8a.jpg

He needs it for his sunshine shovel, snowboard, and surf board...

Rotopax, brah. Finally, a place to mount our ROTOPAX so everyone at the mall can see!

I do wonder how much weight JCR claims it will support.  Seems like throwing anything heavy up there would be terrible for your CofG.  In the end, I think this will end up being a very expensive mounting rack for offroad lights.

As a Southern Californian, I'll withhold my stereotype comments about all of your home towns...

I think it's a looks piece only. The fact that it has no rear bars is odd. Unless you're hauling ladders, and have a full ladder rack, I don't see much of a use for a roof rack on a pickup since it's such a small space. Just my .02.

Right lol, throw up a picture for some feedback and suddenly everything gets personal :applause:

I'm just happy to see companies putting out new products for the MJs. Wouldn't really work with my build, or garage, and $649 BEFORE powder coat is a little crazy to think about.

If it were purpose built hardware...........maybe.

As someone said........looks Ikea.

If it were a light bar, held a long jack across the back window, fire extinguisher on the inside behind driver's door........doubled as a roll bar..........talking heavy hardware, something like that would be pretty cool.

If it had a removable extension piece that covered the bed it would be useful for carrying kayaks, canoes, etc. or possibly attaching an RTT to.   No doubt you'd be looking at $1,000+ though.
