crumbscomanche
JCR dropped the new roof rack for the Manche this weekend. $649 before powdercoat..so price aside, thoughts? https://www.jcroffroad.com/product/RCK/MJRK-P.html
neohic
I really like the idea of them. The execution though seems to fall short with me. Pretty sure it's the vertical plate mounts in the rear and the "IKEA flat box" bolted together look that kills it.
DirtyComanche
That's a little too bro'truckin' for me. Oh yeah, anything with a company logo laser cut into it is automatically on my "Will not buy" list. If they read this. Yes, that can limit what is available for parts, but I paid YOU for the part, so unless you're going to pay ME for the advertising, you can keep your gotdam logo off it. ScottJeep
IF there wasn't a Liberty Renegade Light Bar on mine....maaaaybe? But $649... Damn my lack of fabrication skills.
Eagle
Ugly.
Minuit
Oogly. Doesn't match the MJ's look at all. And what is that hooked onto the drip rails?
HOrnbrod
You guys are all wrong. The OP is in LA. Everyone will love it.

krustyballer16
I like the looks of it but what would you put up there? It's just clamped on to the mj.I know you said forget the price, for $650 there's so many other useless things you could buy! If I could bend tubing I'd make one just to do it. It's different. If this Comanche with the roof rack was a person, this is how I'd imagine it...Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
89eliminator
not worth $649 in my opinion. looks "cheap"
DesertRat1991
4 hours ago, DirtyComanche said: He needs it for his sunshine shovel, snowboard, and surf board... Rotopax, brah. Finally, a place to mount our ROTOPAX so everyone at the mall can see! I do wonder how much weight JCR claims it will support. Seems like throwing anything heavy up there would be terrible for your CofG. In the end, I think this will end up being a very expensive mounting rack for offroad lights. Skorpyo
As a Southern Californian, I'll withhold my stereotype comments about all of your home towns... I think it's a looks piece only. The fact that it has no rear bars is odd. Unless you're hauling ladders, and have a full ladder rack, I don't see much of a use for a roof rack on a pickup since it's such a small space. Just my .02. Right lol, throw up a picture for some feedback and suddenly everything gets personal I'm just happy to see companies putting out new products for the MJs. Wouldn't really work with my build, or garage, and $649 BEFORE powder coat is a little crazy to think about.

RustyRodder
Hell, I just bought another rust-free MJ for that money!
Minuit
I bought a rainbow MJ and a crapton of parts for that money, and I even had 50 bucks to set on fire afterwards!
SVPete
Price aside, it looks okay. It is likely that many have added some type of "bling" to our vehicle that really didn't do much other than we liked it.
ParadiseMJ
If it was me, a couple 4" stacks to open up the exhaust...with the flappers on top.
Jeep Driver
If it were purpose built hardware...........maybe. As someone said........looks Ikea. If it were a light bar, held a long jack across the back window, fire extinguisher on the inside behind driver's door........doubled as a roll bar..........talking heavy hardware, something like that would be pretty cool. krustyballer16
I'd rather have dirtbounds full bed/roof rack set up. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
johnj92131
I can not imagine a useful function for that product. And that includes any cosmetic function.
PCO6
If it had a removable extension piece that covered the bed it would be useful for carrying kayaks, canoes, etc. or possibly attaching an RTT to. No doubt you'd be looking at $1,000+ though.
