what did you do to your MJ today?

Got an non-disconnect front axle seal for the passenger side, assuming it would work.

Assumption is the mother of all screw ups.

Need to get a NOS 11771 from NAPA tomorrow. If they don't have it I'll see if Advance has a National 40576s in stock.

So my MJ is still sitting with the front wheels, hubs, brakes, axle shafts, diff cover and diff carrier spread out across the driveway.

I moved it to the side @ 04:00 this AM, to drive the topless TJ. Cause the F'in weather guy said it was going to be clear..... It started lightly raining before 08:00 and didn't stop till about 14:00!!! :fs1: :fs1: :fs1: :fs1: Its a Jeep, so normally I wouldn't care. But the Corbeau suspension seats don't do well soaked with water.

Long and short of it...should have driven the MJ!!! :brows: jamminz.gif ;) :D

Wheeled it on the Rubicon Trail this weekend. It performed very well. It's nice having that extra foot of wheelbase over my old XJs.

Got a couple of minor scratches. No big deal. ;)

Pulled 2WD tranny, flywheel, etc. from MJ. Sat it on the garage floor and looked at it intently for about 30 minutes next to 4WD tranny. Stared at heap of hulking rust that was donor 94 XJ and wondered how the hell I'm gonna get it on a trailer this weekend to take it to the scrap yard. :???: :???: :???:

Finally installed my full center console that has been sitting in my basement forever, and hoping to start a project thread in the next few days if laziness doesn't set in first. :brows:

I disobeyed my cardinal rule and cut up a rust free, almost dent-free factory comanche bed on my "wheeling" rig. this entailed a die grinder with thin wheel, a rolling chair to accomodate my lack of mobility, and now a current lack of rear lower quarters and also much larger wheel wells

the old bumper was ugly.

I kept having to drive out into a overgrown field full of bushes and small trees, i had the winch bumper from my old F250 so i just threw it on there.

I am pretty happy with the way the new one turned out.

yeah, your fab work is great. you should start selling those....they would sell well.

just with 2 fogs instead of 3. 3 makes me think of a mutated frog (no offense)

We are working on making more to sell in a few different styles, this was a test run to see how it would turn out.

The 3 lights are wierd at first and have to grow on you,I ran a short trail through the woods the other night and they work great. the center aims forward and the sides aim out a little, then with the lights on the cowl aiming further out i get a nice panaramic view. it was pitch black out but looked like we were driving in the day light.

I'm thinking of doing one with a wider grill guard, that one I'm thinking of setting up for 2 or 4 lights. we have a light tab jig that clamps onto the tubes so we can easily set up any configuration.

Finally swapped in the Durango steering box that used to be on my old XJ. The stock MJ box was sloppy and leaking. Good news is that the output shaft was so well-lubricated, the pitman arm came off pretty easily.
