I wouldn't trust it to be bent back. Just replace the control arm and end link. Fix it right and have it over with.

Nice and clean, tight to the body. Looks good. Glad to see they saved the rocker on a clean truck.- 15 replies

You don't need brakes...... -
For those with experience. Does it make a better trailer if the rear of the mj is kept? Or does it make a better trailer to build a dedicated frame?

Man I wish I could have made it. Glad to see a good turnout so far. Be safe and have fun. -
Contact Core. Their customer support is superb. They will be happy to work with you to remedy the problem, I am sure. I have their track bar and adjustable short arms and they were very helpful through all my install.

Looks to be a control arm and a swaybar end link. Shouldn't be too bad of a fix. Hopefully there is no bend in the frame side control arm mount.

Glad to see you got her back together. -
I have a set of torque sticks. They are a really convenient tool. However we still always check with a torque wrench just to be sure. I usually torque mine to 80ftlbs. Seems to hold the wheels on good. Lol

lower trackbar bolt hole
watchamakalit replied to watchamakalit's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Less than $5 at the hardware. New grade 8 bolt, washer, and nut. First was to drill out the hole to 7/16". I only had to remove a very slight bit of material. Next was to test fit.... Tack washer in place And final product. Fresh paint makes the welds stronger. Lol All in all a pretty solid fix in my opinion. -

lower trackbar bolt hole
watchamakalit replied to watchamakalit's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I don't need a trackbar and the bushing isnt worn. That is a core 4x4 tier3 double shear trackbar. Their bushing seems to be oversized. Time to run to the hardware and fire up the zeus machine and get it over with. -
Hadnt thought of that. Just assumed it would be a factory only kinda thing. Gotta get the old one off first....

I am in need of the hard line from the drier to the condenser. Seen with the twisted end in the photo. I have checked junkyard local with no luck.

lower trackbar bolt hole
watchamakalit replied to watchamakalit's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just checked. The trackbar bushing inner is exactly 7/16". So If I get a new 7/16" bolt, washer , and nut. Drill the holes and make a new flag nut it should solve the issue right?
