After years of searching I finally have my (well, my wife has) LJ. I just picked up this 2005 Wrangler Unlimited here in VA. Is was originally a GA Jeep, dealer serviced it's whole life, Came to VA a couple years ago and was traded in. It then spent a year on a small dealers lot. They paid way too much for it at auction and could not sale it for profit. I walked in with a check made out to them and they let it go. It only has 55K on it too. The wife was super happy with her late birthday present.

I second Jay's opinion of RR. They suck, their parts suck, and you will not be happy with their stuff. I made the mistake of buying from them. Never again. cRusty's ranks right up there with RR as well. I got screwed over by Rusty himself. I will steer any one I can away from those two companies. I had a BDS lift on my WJ and loved it. I am actually thinking about getting a BDS lift for the LJ I just bought. Do your homework. I really like Rock Krawler stuff too. Jeremy and Heather have really turned that place around. I am proud to actually know them and be friends with them. I've been with them since the day they bought the company from the first owner and used my XJ as a prototype vehicle for their Gen I long arm kit. We had our growing pains but with my advice and their designers I think we got it right!

I need the seat fabric as well. I'll pay for them, shipping, and kick you a few bucks for your time.

Don't you have to change the ball joints too? I remeber that you had to use a WJ lowe and a XJ upper or vice versa?

I used a 5.2 in my 86. I had to cut the front cross member out and bolt in a ZJ lower radiator support. My raditor is a custom 3 core unit with a big electic fan and custom aluminum shroud. The 86 is not much different than the 87+ trucks. You will need to use the 87+ hood latches or use hood pins like I did. The center hood latch will hit the top of the radiator.

Auto shutdown relay could have gone bad.

Check out my Build thread for Black Betty on cheap chrome tips. I searched for a few years to find a chrome roll bar for it! Good luck finding one. I got lucky and a board member here got it out of a junk yard in California for me. I like the Ranger towing mirrors for a quick shine up and better viewing, There is also a tip for getting the door trim chrome too.

It's a done deal! I'll be picking her up this September when I get back from Virginia. Betty will become my truck and weekend driver and Onyx will go to my son to be his first vehicle. We are both super happy. Looks like I need to build that 2500, 4 door, 97+, V8 truck to complete my collection!

Guess who's coming home? I am in negotiations with Bronson to buy Onyx back! She will be sitting pretty beside Betty in a few months! I will be in VA for 3 months. As soon as I get home I will be making the trip to pick my baby up! She is still running good but has a few minor issues that need to be addressed but I know what they are. I'm happy to be able to get both of my girls back again.

I've done it. Buy some really good drill bits. It took me 2 per side and took about 3 hours to do all 8 leaves. It sucks!

Uhaul trailers use surge brakes. You do not need a brake controller. Just get a dolly and toss a couple cheap spares in the back if the Grand.

Swap springs side to side and see if that helps. I have a nasty bow in my passenger side coil. The drivers side is fine. I swapped them and it switched sides. Could just be the coil. Some bow, some don't.

Morris Mountain is in Bama and has some great wheeling. South Georgia has mud and that's about it. There is a newer offroad park tjat opened in Millageville GA. I don't remember the name though. I just got back to South Georgia a couple weeks ago though.

It took me over 2 years to find a pair. I happened to stumble on a MJ in a JY one day. Good luck with finding them. All I can say is be patient.
