  1. No doubt, I am just feeling it out in terms of price.
  2. Price drop for the holiday weekend!
  3. Bumping for price drop. I realize I am trying to sell a truck that does not run but I really did not know how to price this. On that note, if you are interested, don't be shy to send me a message on an offer. Also, I can help with delivery if you're in the southern California area.
  4. Truck is up for sale:
  5. Location: Long Beach, CA Asking: $10,000 Link to photo album (current pics): https://photos.app.goo.gl/CjoUHZ6xDTL837vp9 1992 Jeep Comanche with the Eliminator trim package. This street truck setup is part of the final year of MJ’s to roll off of the assembly line in Toledo. This is a 2WD, manual trans with a 6’ bed painted in Colorado Red with a gray interior and charcoal cloth bucket seats. I have owned this truck since 2013 and the odometer is showing 354,877 body miles. There is zero rust on the unibody or rear frame, as far as I know it's a California native. This thing is a ton of fun to throw around corners and with the manual trans and limited slip you can spin the tires (plural) no problem. A blast to drive and a rare sight on the road these days. The truck does not currently run and has been registered in California as non-operational for the last few years. More details on the problem below. Sale will not come with a smog cert. A full listing of modifications is as follows: A 4.0L motor from my 1998 XJ was swapped in 2015, the motor currently has about 131,000 miles on it. ‘99+ intake manifold. Aftermarket headers. A rebuilt AX-15 manual transmission with an external slave cylinder bell housing, a new Luk clutch & hydraulics along with Redline MT-90 gear oil were swapped in at 349,000 miles. Dual diaphragm brake booster/master cylinder swapped from a 1996 XJ. Replaced catalytic converter at 352,000 miles. Has an aftermarket muffler installed by the previous owner. Suspension modifications to lower the vehicle include 2” blocks in the spring under axle leaf pack and shackles from a Cherokee XJ in the rear. In the front coil springs from a Grand Cherokee ZJ and polyurethane spacers were used to match the ride height of the rear. All bushings in the rear suspension have been replaced with polyurethane units. A ⅞” sway bar has been added in the rear and a 28mm unit of a ZJ has been swapped in the front. Polyurethane motor mounts and a Stinky Fab polyurethane transmission mount. Caltracs traction bars in the rear to lessen axle wrap (great mod). Dana 44 rear end with 3.73 gears and a trac-lok limited slip differential. Disc brake conversion from a Ford Explorer. Does not have a functioning parking brake. The speedometer is off because of the non-stock gear ratio. Driveshaft Pros rear driveshaft. 15” Jeep ‘Moab’ wheels from a TJ Rubicon and Yokohama Geolander tires on all four corners. 1.5” wheel spacers on the rear. Comes with one OE aluminum 10 hole spare wheel, no tire. Functional spare tire winch under the bed. Body in fair condition considering age, there are dents on the passenger door and bed side. The Colorado Red paint is oxidized on cab roof and the tailgate has been repainted. Bed has been spray lined. Reproduction OE “Eliminator” stickers from jeepsticker.com on the body. Sliding rear window. Rear bumper has been replaced with a custom roll pan, the OE black steel step bumper will come with the sale. Interior is all original and in very good condition. Comes with bucket seats and the foam in the driver’s seat has been recently replaced. The Bad: Last ran about 3.5 years ago, died on the road and has been covered in my driveway since. Motor cranked strong, but would not turn over. I believe it’s a spark issue but replacing the CPS, coil, fuel pump and filter, etc. did not fix the problem. Power steering box leaks. No battery. Has AC but does not blow cold. This is a fun, rare truck that will put a smile on your face when driven. Handling is pretty fantastic and the 5 speed makes it a blast in the corners. I don’t have the room or time for it anymore but it is important to me that it goes to a loving Jeep enthusiast who will return it to street truck greatness. If you’re interested, let’s talk. 6. Great suggestions. Bought a spark tester. I know I used a plug grounded to the block when it first died to test, and I assume it had spark but I'll give it another go. And test the CPS and peak inside the cap.
  7. Background: Truck died while accelerating leaving work about a 1.5 years ago. Got it towed home and haven't been able to start it since (not that I've tried a lot). 1992 Comanche with a 4.0 from a 1998 XJ. Will crank for days but does not turn over. - Replaced: CPS, coil, fuel pump and filter - tested fuel pressure, it was a little low during cranking but not horrible. Replaced the pump and filter anyways. I love this truck but it has just been rotting away not getting driven and I hate that. Any advice on what else to troubleshoot? Thanks.
  8. It's from a 2nd gen, 1995-2005. I got mine off of a 4 door if I remember correctly.
  9. Thanks, I don't think I'd ever really sell it. I just don't drive it enough. The roll pan is for an S-10, this is the one I used: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/GMK-EFXRP09 It took a lot of trimming and figuring out a way to mount it to make it work.
  10. Time for my yearly update. Just been driving this thing from time to time on the weekend and the occasional trip to Home Depot. I was toying with the idea of getting rid of it but thought better of it and started buying stuff for it again. It has some nasty spring wrap since I put the lowering blocks on making doing burnouts impossible without massive wheel hop. I was going to do a Ruff Stuff traction bar then a pair of Caltracs popped up for sale on Instagram of all places. Solved the problem, thing is even more fun to drive now, I can't seem to take a corner without sliding it anymore. They definitely hang low, but not really an issue for this truck. Also, I need some new tires soon, been thinking about the BFG G-force Sport in a smaller diameter and a little wider. And I finally pulled the trigger on some Eliminator decals from Jeepsticker.com. Tough to install properly but damn they look good. Only have the driver's side finished so far, I need to get some dent repair work done on the passenger side still. And trying out the new night sight mode on my phone
  11. Thanks! Took quite a bit of cutting to make it work. Yah, Chevy bar. 7/8".
  12. Long time no update, still have the truck though. Over the last year I've swapped the trans out for a rebuilt one with and external slave, went through a battle with smog testing which ended up being a cracked APN manifold so I replaced that with a newer version, adapted and S-10 roll pan to to rear bumper and FINALLY got the Dana 44 underneath it. New style APN header vs. Old Roll-pan fitment and final product, body working the tailgate too. Lot of bondo from the previous owner(s). Fit isn't perfect but close enough and it's not permanent so I can always go back to the original bumper. Plan to dump the exhaust too. 44 with 3.73 gears, a trac-lok and discs off of an Explorer. Also replaced all the suspension bushings with poly and added a sway bar off of a Blazer. Getting a driveshaft made up now, last piece of the puzzle then go make 11's.
  13. Rear wheel spacers are 1.5" and the lowering blocks are steel and originally designed for a Chevy S-10. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201314842386?item=201314842386&viewitem=&vxp=mtr
  14. Yep, that sounds about right.
  15. The rear ZJ coils I used were a direct swap. What year? Moar info please! I *think* the rear springs for all years of the ZJ (93-98) are the same. I got mine out of a V8, but like I said I think only the fronts differ between year/trim level/engine. But I could be wrong.
