  1. I just recently bought a 1986 Comanche with the 2.5 fuel injected I4, previous owner removed the sending unit and it was lost. When the sending unit was removed he pulled the wires off the unit and there was a tag on it that says 16 gal but I thought the long beds came with a 23.5 gal tank? From what I read on here, if it has three tank straps (like mine has) it would be a 23.5 gal tank and if it had two it would be a 18 gal tank. But either way I can’t find anything online that says for an 86. I would assume since everything I find online says 87-90, the 86 and older tanks have something proprietary to them? I would like to find something cheap because I plan on cutting this jeep up but it would be quite convenient for it to run to move around
  2. I haven’t done much research on the axles yet so thanks for the info. But I did see the thread about him selling them and I’d bet by now they used those flares. Even if I got my hands on a set I’d be happy to make a mold if people were interested. I already plan on trying to make my own custom color matched tailights.
  3. To be more specific, these are what the custom and commercial fender flares look like. (photo stolen from Drachir's thread)
  4. I was very Intrigued when I saw the first picture of a dually comanche and so naturally I started day dreaming bout how I would build one and of coarse I had to know more so I dove down that rabbit hole and found out there were a very few 'factory' converted ones, 9-10 for what I have read. I kept finding tons of threads that kept telling me bout a thread by Drahcir495 from 2011 that had the info to get these awesome looking aftermarket ones by a company Custom & Commercial Wheel Company Inc. based out in CA. Traveled down that rabbit hole and from everything I can tell that company is now no more. so short story long, does anybody know where I could get my hands on some of these fenders. maybe even make my own mold to make a couple sets? maybe make some more for anyone else interested?
