  1. The oil in the air box is a big indicator. Shine a light down the throttle body and see if oil is in there. There was a TSB out to help diagnose the pinging magnum. Did it ping under throttle? TSB http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/09-05-00.htm The sell a trick replacement plenum. http://www.hughesengines.com/Index/products.php?partid=27091
  2. I'd look into the plenum. Sounds like the issue.
  3. The Omni, Charger, or The GLHS cars did not come with boost gauges. The Daytonas did. They are horribly inaccurate though. The SRT-4 also has one that would be close. You could always get a guage small enough to fit in the cluster and have a overlay made to match the factory gauge. Hit up Rob and see if he can get you a pic and dimensions of his diesel's gauge.
  4. I had the same issue. I just installed Firefox and they work now.
  5. Someone want to paypal me $500? I am seriously wiped out for a few weeks. I know how rare those parts are!
  6. There is an 87 MJ Laredo in my local yard. We're talking tow hooks, full skids, cargo light, nice tan buckets, nice console, one good silver trimmed tail light, 5 pack leaves, and a Dana 44! You have to be kidding me. I am broke and moving in a few months. Had I not just dumped $1100 to ship my camper I would be sitting on a gold mine! Sadly the chrome rear bumper is FUBAR and there was no hitch.
  7. The 4.7 is a ton wider than a 5.2. I don't think it will fit at all.
  8. Spencer at Jeepsticker.com sells the stickers. They are out there.
  9. Also it is a column shift with a floor shift console. I would get the VIN first and have it run through Chrysler first. Then use all the info you find that is either wrong or added to bargin with.
  10. Rocky Road is crap. Do not buy from them.
  11. That is all fine and well if you are using the full site. But, if you use the mobile version sig lines are not visible.
  12. It looks like I am shipping my camper and towing the MJ on a dolly. It was $1079 to ship the camper. The MJ was at least $1200 in drivable condition. I would of had to spend at least $900 to get it drivable enough to load on a truck. A dolly is $345 to tow it. I saved myself about $500 doing it this way. The camper gets picked up Friday and will be at my buddy's Chevy dealership in Ellijay for a few months. I want to say thanks for everyone who offered up help to get her shipped. Jay, you are the man! I will still come see you once we are settled.
  13. The only thing you should put in your ear is your elbow. Go ahead and try it, I'll wait...
  14. With a VIN of 79881it is around the middle of the years production run.
  15. I found a date code behind my door panels. Might be worth a look.
  16. Thanks Johnny. I don't think driving an 11 second drag car across country would be a good idea. It would be fun as hell though!
  17. I am working with Jay. I might have her shipped and dropped at Jay's place until I get there. The idea of dropping $5000 on a trailer and hoping I can sale it later does not sit well with me. I hate moving with out a few extra dollers in the account to cover mechanical issues should one arise. I have got a few quotes to have her shipped. Not running is about $1200. It is almost worth it to me at this point.
  18. The 2.5 was an option in the MJ from 86-92.
  19. If it has the 2.8, it is a long bed. All 86s were long beds.
  20. I like my first gen Ranger towing mirrors.
  21. It should bolt right in. You might have to change the high beam switch though.
  22. My PUP is over 20'. It is a Starcraft 13 RT. It is a big trailer. Uship was the reason I sold Onyx. They wanted $1500 to ship it and they wanted me to pick it up in Phoenix. A 30' tandem trailer is over $5000. I am hoping to be out of here in June.
  23. My camper is a pop up. It is also illeagle to tow doubles in California. Either way my PUP's frame would not handle a dolly attached to it. It is going to cost about $1200-$1500 to get it shipped. It goes down a little if it is driveable.
  24. I am pretty sure I will be getting orders in the near future to Albany GA. I have a big issue at hand. I have a Dodge CTD, Jeep WJ, Shelby Charger, Betty, and a Camper. The government will not pay for me to ship a vehicle. I do not want to let any of them go. The CTD tows the camper and the WJ tows the Charger. That leaves me with moving the MJ. I am really close to finishing her but all the parts I need will bleed me dry. Betty is in no shape to drive. I really can't even load it on a semi to ship it. I was wondering if buying a trailer, tossing it on there, and doing a hand off from member to member is possible? It can take as long as needed to get her there I just want to make sure I am not forced to let her go again.
